TEHRAN (Iran News)  Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei has met with top Qur’an teachers, reciters, and memorizers participating in the 41st International Qur’an Competition.

Heads of committees of Majlis on Thursday in a letter to President Hassan Rouhani urged him to stop continuing the current trend that he has followed in the past seven years of his presidency. In the letter, it has been explicitly stipulated that during seven years of Rouhani’s presidency nothing has been seen but cruelty and injustice towards the weak layers of the society and even the youths and industrialists, and he should change his policy in order to cooperate with the current Majlis.

It seems this letter which has been written by the Majlis committees to be the first yellow card and warning to President Rouhani’s performance for his seven years in office. Hereby and in my article, I bring some excerpts of the letter for the attention of Iranian and world nations and the governments which are supporters of President Rouhani’s government in order to show the difference between revolutionary people with people being totally different with them. Some excerpts of the letter are as follows, “Now that we are on the eve of beginning the eighth year of your presidency as the highest executive official in the country and Majlis has also started its work to revive Islamic Republic Revolution’s values, we are witnessing a painful condition in the country which we believe Iranian martyr-nurturing nation does not deserve it. So according to our legal and revolutionary task regarding supervising the performance of the executive branch and also according to the Article 8 of the Constitutions as the representatives of zealous Iranian nation, it is necessary to notify some points to you as the man who is in charge of executing the Constitutions which has been stipulated in the Article 113. Mr. President …. You have sworn in on the Holy Quran and Iranian nation to safeguard the Constitutions, the laws which entitle anyone to have appropriate housing and have entrusted the government with the task of creating job for anyone, the laws which emphasize fight with monopolization, hoarding, prodigality and supporting boost in agro, livestock and industrial production till the country reaches self-sufficiency and cuts its dependence on other countries. But now on the eve of starting your eighth year of presidency, how far is the distance between the sacred Islamic Revolution establishment and these principles? Can you find this massive amount of unemployed youths anywhere but in Iran? Are not they Iranian citizens who are hapless in earning their minimum livelihood as they have to work several shifts to survive? We wish if you, on way to your office, had a look at the poor children who were searching in trash dumps to find something to eat. Mr Rouhani … are you aware of the prices of food stuff which are spiraling every day? Are you aware of the ratio between a market basket with the salary of a worker, a clerk or a teacher? Have you heard anything about the inflation in housing sector both in purchasing or renting? Are you aware of rising price of services in the transportation and price of cars? If you are aware, what hope do you expect from the unemployed educated youth to pin on the Prudence and Hope government? Do you hear or see anything about the statistics on the rise of divorces and decline in marriages, the decline in fertility and growth in the social damages? How does hardship on way of entrepreneurs and businessmen because of bureaucracy in your government conform to the tasks and slogans which have been set by this government in the Sixth Development Plan? Can an official be considered jihadi and Islamic when he just deplores in response to any mismanagement instead of reforming the performance?  Lack of motivation and passiveness in some of your associates surge and this phenomenon has led to a sense of abandonment in the public economically. This is not only the national currency which is being devalued day by day but hope and desire of hundreds of thousands of the youths are being affected by turbulences and government’s changes of regulations. Mr. President … the sensitivity of your job obliges you to monitor all developments in the country and the world like a kind father and custodian and to take prudent measure for anything before it turns into a crisis. As our acclaimed poet Saadi says, ‘An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure,’ adding ‘if flood comes, no dam can stop it and it washes out everything.’

Which logic can accept the head of a government just smiles after being informed of events and crisis? We demand you to accept the advice of your committed brothers and change the trend of your seven years of administering the country because the 11^th Majlis has been formed to revive the revolutionary ideals and it will stand by its ideals. So forget what you have had with Majlis in the past because people’s representatives will not remain silent regarding the rights of the nation who has been unique in the history.”

By seeing this letter, it seems Majlis does not intend to ignore any passiveness and negligence and it is determined to revive the wasted rights of the people during the management of the 11^th and 12^th governments.

I wish Majlis lawmakers and head of committees a blessing and I have definite hope that the nation will witness how lawmakers defending their rights and they need not to wait too long.

The late Imam Khomeini, may God bless him, in a narrative had read that after him someone who has a problem in his right hand would lead the Islamic Revolution, but he had never revealed this to anyone. Only when dignified Martyr Seyed Abbas al-Musawi, the then leader of Lebanon’s Hezbollah who had come to Tehran to meet the late Imam and had a visit to his house, recounted the sign and content of this narration to Imam Khomeini’s son, Seyed Ahmad Khomeini. Seyed Ahmad, in return, told Seyed Abbas that he had noticed when he talked about the wound resulted by the bomb blast at Abuzar Mosque on the right hand of Ayatollah Khamenei who was then the President, the late Imam (R) suddenly kneeled down to pray God for long time.

In fact the late Imam knew well that God Himself would pave the way for his successor to lead the Islamic Revolution after him. This happened while in 1989 and after the demise of the late Imam Khomeini and in the Experts Assembly session, Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei was unwilling to accept the leadership but Almighty God in the Holy Quran has promised that it is impossible to refuse it.

Ayatollah Khamenei in the past 31 years has sailed smartly, wisely and bravely the ship of the Islamic Revolution safely whose calculation is unbelievable for enemies. The sixth Imam of Shiites Imam Sadeq (A), on his uncle Hazrat Abulfazl who was martyred in the battle of Karbala, says, “My uncle had good vision and he understood the truths and decided well.” And now Supreme Leader Ayatollah Khamenei has the same characteristics of Hazrat Abulfazl (A) and he is very insightful and has deep understanding of issues. He is persistent in his praying and for this reason God is always with him and He does not stop guiding him. Especially regarding his cognition and identifying  enemies and taking stands against the infidels, Americans and Europeans, all notice his capability and sometimes what he sees and warns takes place two years later. And the reason he has succeeded in saving and developing this movement till this stage with such proud and glory with his strategic thoughts and eventually civilization-making is this this point.

The late Imam Khomeini told the nation, “Support Velayat-e Faqih (leadership) and your country will not hurt.” This remark of Imam Khomeini after his demise was carved in the souls of majority of Iranian people and they actually accepted the late Imam Khomeini’s recommendation whole-heartedly. This has strengthened Velayat-e Faqih and its successes.

In fact, one should say that Velayat-e Faqih has a basic characteristic whose decisions are based on instructions of Islam, the Holy Quran and hadiths and as the result, no one can infiltrate it. Even those who had tried to infiltrate it or distort it since the era of Imams have not succeeded. In Najaf, the British also once and again had tried hard to influence the late Imam Khomeini’s decisions, and his son, the late Seyed Mostafa Khomeini, had repeatedly mentioned it to Imam Khomeini but Imam proceeded the tasks of jurisprudence and leadership of the revolution smartly.

In the Holy Quran verse 25 of Repentance Chapter, God says, “Allah has already given you victory in many regions.” It means if you are a believer and try to please God, He will be with you everywhere. Today enemies of Islam and Muslims explicitly acknowledge the capability of the Supreme Leader. We have witnessed the management of the Imam (R) Movement in different eras in the leadership of the Supreme Leader with God’s help. Let’s compare the issue of the Coronavirus pandemic in Iran with other countries which are said they are the developed countries. They all have given in to the pandemic but Iran with true belief and jihadi actions and with the supervision and guidance of Velayat-e Faqih has acted totally differently. This method has not been possible and will not be possible in any system but the jurisprudence system inspired from Holy Quran and the Prophet traditions.

Regardless of good intention and benevolent measures and smart prudence, Iran has a huge protector  that the Supreme Leader has repeatedly emphasized that the country belongs to the nation and has urged the nation to help to administer the country and without any doubt, God will help the country to sail safely out of tourbillons.

Hence, Iran with the leadership of Ayatollah Khamenei will not be hit by any storm and Re-Appearance will be materialized very soon.

We are now in the holy month of Ramadan, and the outbreak of Coronavirus has deprived us, Muslims, of religious gatherings till the layali al-Qadr (Nights of Decree). The Coronavirus Fight National Headquarters, upon the Supreme Leader Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei’s recommendation, released restrictions for gatherings in mosques,provided that all sanitary protocols are observed, for marking layali al-Qadr to pray God and to seek help from Imam Mahdi (AS) for the better in the year ahead.

Essentially in the holy month of Ramadan and according to what has been cited in the Holy Quran, there is a night which is called “Qadr” and according to the Holy Quran, it is of the best nights of the year. According to reliable quotations from the grandees and scholars of the religion, five nights of Ramadan  Ramadan could be nights of decree which are 17^th, 19^th, 21^st, 23^rd, and 27^th of the month.

But they have put emphasis more on nights of 19, 21 and 23 of the month and there are some quotations from the sixth Imam of Shiites, Imam Jaafar Sadq (AS), who has paid more emphasis on 23^rd of Ramadan as the Night of Decree. There are some narratives from Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) where he has said the Night of Decree will remain with ummah till the Resurrection. The meaning of those narratives is that the Night of Decree is something more than sending down of the Holy Quran. The Holy Quran has been sent down on the Night of Decree but there is something else lying in this night. What is it? Those, who marking this night and believe it, ask what has descended from the Heaven?

Some Muslim scholars and grandees of Shia link fully the meaning of the Night of Decree to the fasting in Ramadan. So we realize that first, fasting prepares the one who fasts in order that he could remove the curtain from his wisdom for better and comprehensive seeing, thinking and learning more than the days that he eats more. Secondly, fasting makes the man feel the pains of other people and it makes his feeling more sensitive and expanded. Thirdly, fasting creates some kind of preparedness and sustainability in man because he stands against temptations and hardships and consequently his patience grows and patience has deep relation with fasting.

The Holy Quran in verse 153 of the Cow Chapter says, “O you who have believed, seek help through patience and prayer,” and meaning of patience in ahadith (collected sayings of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH)) is the very fasting.

So we realize that fasting brings three properties for the human: more understanding, more feeling and more patience. These triple factors are actually tools for human to make decision for forming his future and fate. So the one who fasts has better insight due to his fasting and feels the pains in the society much more, and his patience increases for continuing his path. So this man is the one who can make decision and portray a path for his future and determine his fate in his decisions. And praying and demand from Almighty would help him in this process of improvement.

Imam Musa al-Sadr, the Lebanese leader who has gone missing, may God bless him in interpretation of Ad-Dukhan (the Smoke) Chapter of the Holy Quran which is recited mostly in these days says, “Ha, Meem. By the clear Book, Indeed, We sent it down during a blessed night. Indeed, We were to warn [mankind].On that night is made distinct every precise matter -[Every] matter [proceeding] from Us. Indeed, We were to send [a messenger] As mercy from your Lord. Indeed, He is the Hearing, the Knowing.”

Since the word “Dukhan” (smoke) has been mentioned in the chapter, the chapter has been named ad-Dukhan. It is one of the chapters in the Holy Quran which is mostly recited during the Night of Decree. The first six verses of the chapter, which were mentioned above, openly show that the chapter definitely deals with layali al-Qadr (Nights of Decree). So I think it is better to mention some points on this issue which is a complicated one and it is a secret among the Muslims.

This chapter defines the theme and meaning of layali al-Qadr, a meaning which is totally different with the common prevalent meaning because it says, “We have sent the Holy Quran down during a blessed might.” And in the Qadr (Power) Chapter and in its first verse, it has been emphasized that the Holy Quran has been sent down during the Night of Decree, “Indeed, We sent the Qur’an down during the Night of Decree.”

So the blessed night is the very Night of Decree when the Holy Quran has been sent down. These verses interpret the meaning of Night of Decree in this way that the Night of Decree is that night of sending down of the Holy Quran and in the Holy Quran, everything has been clearly defined and everything about halal (allowed), haram (forbidden), right and corrupt as well as legal truths have been cleared. By the way, all definitions about mystical values and Divine teachings and meanings have been mentioned.

Hence, month of Ramadan is an educational course which determines the fate of human, and it means his fate of the whole year is set based on the framework which has been designed in the heart and soul of the pious and the degree of piety in him in Ramadan. It means Ramadan is month of education and because of the Nights of Decree when man reaches this educational course, he would evolve.

This evolution lies in the third decade of the month and according to some narrations, the Night of Decree is one of the last days of the third decade of the month. In some narrations have been mentioned that any man has a Night of Decree which differs from other one’s and this meaning accords with the concept about the relation between the Night of Decree and fasting.

The paintings, photographs and sculptures on display carry mystical and Quranic messages.

8 countries are participating at this exhibition. Pakistan is this year’s Guest of Honor at the 27th International Quran Exhibition.

The 27th edition of the event will be officially opened to the public on Sunday evening and lasts for 14 days, wrapping up on May 26.

According to his official website, Ayatollah Khamenei said that the Quran is the book that leads mankind to worldly and heavenly bliss and held “The Quran is the book of prosperity and bliss in this world and the hereafter, provided that we act based on its principles. The Quran says, “stern to the disbelievers;” [Quran; 48:29]. Some Muslims forget that, like those Muslim countries who compromise with the U.S. and the Zionists, to shed the blood of Palestinians and violate their rights. They abandoned being “stern to the disbelievers” [Quran; 48:29] and they became servants of the disbelievers. Today, the officials of many Muslim states represent examples of that.”

He criticized Muslim states that engage in wars against their Muslim brethren asserting, “Another group has forgotten the principle of “compassionate among themselves” [Quran; 48:29]. They reject and excommunicate [takfir] the believers in Allah, the Quran, and the Ka’ba. When “compassionate among themselves” is abandoned, internal wars may arise. You see the current situation in Yemen and Syria; Yemen has been bombarded for 4 years now. Those who bombard Yemen are Muslims in appearance, but they do not show mercy to Muslims.”

The Leader of the Islamic Revolution praised those who gave their lives for the sake of Allah as role models for selfless volunteering, saying, “The Martyrs have taught us many lessons. The initiative taken for providing relief for the victims of the recent floods in Iran is what the martyrs have taught us. The great movement of the people from different regions towards the flood-hit areas is an extraordinary phenomenon. The people and youth go there and along with the young local people contribute to the relief operation using their physical strength, facilities, and money.”

Ayatollah Khamenei described Iranian nation’s devotion to volunteer in helping the flood victims as a lesson learned by the martyrs of the 8-year Sacred Defense, adding, “The great movement which is taking place is rare in the world; that the people take the initiative to assist those in need is a lesson from our martyrs. During the 1980s and the Sacred Defense also the young individuals took to the fields with the same enthusiasm and sense of self-sacrifice.”

He described enemies’ hostile measures against the Islamic Republic as futile and counterproductive, saying, “What the enemies do against Iran today are their last resorts of enmity. The sterner they become against us, the stronger our willpower will become; the more they intensify their measures against us, the more powerful we will become; the more furious they become at our commitment to Quranic teachings, the more our reliance and commitment to the Quran will become. Reliance on and sticking to the Quran will bring us bliss, strength, and dignity.”

Academia and literary figures namely Azartash Azarnoush, Ali-Ashraf Sadeqi, Morteza Kariminia will deliver speeches about the importance of such works of art in an opening ceremony to be held on December 16, Mehr reported.

Known as “Quran-e Za’fferani”, the illuminated manuscript, which is deemed as one of earliest of its kind, represents a full copy of the Holy Quran and it also bears a Persian translation.

Named after one of the great artists of the Safavid period, Reza Abbasi Museum embraces several permanent exhibition halls that showcase various eras of the Iranian history with objects belonging the pre-Islamic era, paintings and calligraphy works amongst them.
