										<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>TEHRAN (<a href="https://www.irannewsdaily.com/">Iran News</a>) – Deputy Health Minister Iraj Harirchi has announced that among nine COVID-19 vaccines, which are under development in Iran, the first home-made corona vaccine will be available within 40 days.</p>
<p>In a meeting with Malaysian Deputy Foreign Minister Dato&#8217; Kamarudin Jaffar, Harirchi said on Tuesday that Iranian researchers have been successful in developing nine vaccines and four of them will be distributed within next months, adding that the Iranian people will be provided with the first domestically produced vaccine in next 40 days and that the second vaccine with the production capacity of eight to 10 million doses per month will be available within around 70 days.</p>
<p>The third and forth vaccines will be distributed within 120 days, the Iranian official said, noting that Iran could cooperate with Malaysia in producing these corona vaccines.</p>
<p>Pointing to the impact of sanctions imposed on the Islamic Republic of Iran since the victory of the Islamic Revolution in 1979, he stipulated that 98.3 percent of medicine used in Iran are being produced inside the country.</p>
<p>The health official has expressed the Islamic Republic&#8217;s readiness to expand relations and cooperation with the Muslim country of Malaysia in different political, cultural, economic, trade and health sectors.</p>
<p>He also underlined that officials from both sides have held phone calls to exchange experiences on the ways to confront the outbreak of the coronavirus pandemic as well as discuss issues of mutual interests.</p>
<p>Malaysian and Iranian health officials have so far emphasized that they are prepared to cooperate in producing vaccines, exporting medicines and supporting startups active in health sectors of both countries.</p>
<p>Head of Pasteur Institute of Iran Alireza Biglari said the Malaysian side has received a report on the institute&#8217;s experience on producing vaccines and expressed readiness to expand cooperation with Iranian research and health organizations.</p>
<p>A proposed memorandum of understanding between the two sides has been finalized in the Tuesday meeting, which will be signed in a future session between health ministers of both countries.</p>

<p>Harirchi made the remarks about COVID-19 on Saturday at a press conference through video conference.</p>
<p>In the last few weeks, the trend of patients infected with the coronavirus in  Tehran is declining, but the statistics in Tehran can still be significant, he said.</p>
<p>As of Saturday, the total number of COVID-19 cases in Iran passed 106,000, of whom 6,589 lost their lives to the deadly virus.</p>

										<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>TEHRAN (<a href="https://irannewsdaily.com/" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">Iran News</a>) – Iranian Deputy Health Minister Iraj Harirchi said the rate of new infections and deaths from the novel coronavirus has been declining in most of the country’s provinces.</p>
<p>“Fortunately, we are witnessing a decline in the number of cases of coronavirus deaths after one month,” Harirchi told Tasnim on Thursday.</p>
<p>He added that the number of fatalities from the virus across the country has dropped below 100 for the first time in one month, which is a great achievement for the country’s health-care system.</p>
<p>The deputy health minister further underlined the importance of following health protocols and social distancing by all, and said, “We ask people to continue their cooperation with us in the coming weeks so that we can leave this crisis behind.”</p>
<p>On Wednesday, Health Ministry Spokesman Kianoosh Jahanpoor said the number of lives lost in the country to the novel coronavirus dropped to double figures, bringing the overall toll to 4,777. He added that COVID-19 had taken the lives of 94 patients during the past 24 hours, down from 98 a day earlier. Jahanpoor added that 49,933 patients had recovered from the infection.</p>

										<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>TEHRAN (<a href="https://irannewsdaily.com/" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">Iran News</a>) – Iran deputy health minister Iraj Harirchi has recovered from the novel coronavirus, known as COVID-19, according to a statement on Thursday.</p>

<p>Harirchi had announced in a video on February 25 that he had tested positive for COVID-19, adding that he had entered “isolation” and started treatment, but said his general health condition was favorable, and that he was currently just experiencing fever and fatigue.</p>
<p>In a statement on Thursday, Health Minister Saeid Namaki noted that his deputy has fully recovered from the virus. He also appointed Harirchi as his special representative and supervisor of a national battling campaign against the coronavirus.</p>
<p>The virus first emerged in the central Chinese city of Wuhan and has so far infected 126,369 people in 124 countries, claiming 4,663 lives.</p>
<p>In Iran, the latest reports put the number of infected at 10,075, with the death toll hitting 429.</p>
<p>According to Health Ministry Spokesman Kianoush Jahanpour, as of Thursday, 3,276 coronavirus patients in Iran have recovered and been discharged from hospitals.</p>
