Preachers Call for Greater Government Support to Achieve Their Goals

TEHRAN (Iran News) Hojjatoleslam Rezwani-Zadeh, one of the attending scholars and preachers, told reporters:

“I can confidently say that one of the legal, social, and religious duties of the government is to support preachers. I consider this a legal obligation. Without the government’s cooperation, preachers face many challenges. Effective religious propagation requires proper conditions—facilities, spaces, and time—which the government should provide. The state must help remove obstacles and prepare the ground so that preachers can effectively promote and defend religion.”

Hojjatoleslam Sibouyeh, head of the Society of Velayati Preachers, responding to a question on the society’s role in strengthening faith and religious values, said:

“We are living in sensitive times—an era of religious estrangement and ideological crises. That’s why we decided to form an organized body called the Society of Velayati Preachers. After holding several preparatory meetings, we were blessed with success to officially launch this initiative. Our goal is to train preachers who can understand and respond to people’s religious needs and spiritual doubts. We thank God for granting us the opportunity to help elevate the public’s theological and jurisprudential understanding and organize religious efforts across society.”

Addressing the role of social media, Sibouyeh added: “One of our key missions is to provide meaningful and faith-based content for digital platforms. We aim to develop a healthy, religiously conscious online space offering diverse, value-oriented programs for the public.”

When asked about the performance of preachers in recent years, Hojjatoleslam Ghahramani-Nejad, another scholar and preacher, said:

“In my opinion, preachers have improved their performance significantly. Today’s preachers—those wearing the Prophet’s robe—are increasingly equipped with modern communication tools. They are more motivated and dedicate more time to new media and even artificial intelligence. Younger preachers, who use modern methods instead of traditional lectures, are more successful. Today’s audiences expect engagement and dialogue, not just one-way sermons. A modern preacher must be equipped not only with digital skills but also with knowledge of theology, logic, and the ability to respond to doubts and misconceptions.”

Hojjatoleslam Forghani also commented on the challenges of the digital age:

“In today’s world, preachers must stay up to date with modern tools and technologies. Otherwise, they will fall behind. Imam Sadiq (AS) once stood up in honor of a young preacher, Hisham ibn Hakam, who traveled long distances in harsh conditions to convey the teachings of the Ahl al-Bayt. The Imam said, ‘This is Hisham ibn Hakam—our helper by heart, tongue, and hand.’ This shows the high spiritual and social rank that preachers hold in Islam.”

Meanwhile, Hojjatoleslam Sa’idi, Deputy Head of the Qom Seminary, emphasized the importance of systematic training:

“Preaching requires skill and structure. Not everyone wearing clerical attire is automatically a preacher, and even lay Muslims can engage in propagation within their capacity. Preaching involves key elements—timing, understanding the audience, and topic selection. The seminary has made great strides in professionalizing this field. We now have specialized centers and academic programs in preaching, as well as networks like Safiran-e Hedayat (Ambassadors of Guidance), whose graduates serve across the country in social, academic, military, and civic settings.”

The Society of Velaeei Preachers (JAMO) held its third general assembly on Thursday evening at Sahib al-Zamani Hosseiniyeh in Tehran, attended by scholars, clerics, and preachers.

During the event, a number of participants completed membership forms and expressed readiness to take part in future selection interviews. The session began with a recitation from the Holy Qur’an by Hojjatoleslam Ranjbar Shirazi, followed by opening remarks from Ayatollah Sibouyeh, who welcomed the attendees.

Later, Ayatollah Rezwani-Zadeh delivered a lecture on the jurisprudential obligations of enjoining good and forbidding evil in today’s society. The first part of the documentary “Qom and the Guardians of Shi’ism” was then screened, focusing on the history of the Qom Seminary up to the leadership of the late Ayatollah Sheikh Abdul-Karim Haeri Yazdi.

Ayatollah Seifi Amoli also presented an analysis of Sermon 53 from Nahj al-Balagha, and Hojjatoleslam Seyed Mohammad Aghamiri, a member of the Tehran City Council, gave a report on the reconstruction of damaged religious sites.

The conference aimed to enhance the social role of preachers and strengthen cooperation among them. The society’s central council announced plans to hold specialized training programs for official members in the near future.

TEHRAN (Iran News) Parliament Speaker Mohammad-Baqer Qalibaf says cooperation among the three branches of the Iranian government is crucial to resolve the problems faced by people.

Qalibaf made the comment on Saturday as he hosted a group of cabinet members, lawmakers, as well as military and state officials at the Iranian Parliament building in Tehran.

The meeting was held on the first working day after Persian New Year holidays in Iran.

Qalibaf said that the full implementation of the seventh five-year development plan is also crucial to resolve the problems faced by the people.

The speaker and the heads of other branches of the Iranian government, namely the Judiciary and the Executive, have on various occasions emphasized the need for collective efforts to resolve the most pressing issues including economic problems.

They blame part of the problems on Western-imposed sanctions. However, the top officials insist that the problems can be resolved through relying on domestic capabilities.

Impeachment and Resignation Will Not Derail Government Unity

TEHRAN (Iran News) Mohajerani opened the weekly briefing by extending Ramadan greetings, noting, “Ramadan is a month to become more humane, distancing ourselves from anger, envy, resentment, and prejudice with the aid of its spiritual moments. I hope we can embody the noble verse, ‘We have honored the children of Adam,’ through the sanctity of the Nights of Power.”

Addressing the recent impeachment of the Minister of Economic Affairs and Finance, she remarked, “No government welcomes losing a cabinet member, but the parliament has the right to exercise its oversight role, and no one holds a grudge over this. However, we must recognize that 40-odd years of accumulated issues cannot be resolved in six months—nor were they created in that time. We hope this parliamentary action brings stability, though yesterday’s stock market index suggested otherwise.” She reiterated that the government views unity as a strategy aimed at solving the people’s and the country’s problems, not merely as a superficial gesture.

“Unity is pursued with faith in the 14th government,” Mohajerani stressed. “It’s the only approach that can address the people’s challenges. We face a backlog of issues, evident in the scale of imbalances we’re tackling. Impeachment and resignations won’t sway us from unity or our mission to improve society, the economy, and people’s lives.”

She also highlighted the government’s focus on the Youth Population Plan, noting that while the budget allocated 19 trillion tomans for related loans, the Central Bank reported disbursing 24.6 trillion tomans, reflecting the administration’s commitment.

On healthcare, Mohajerani said, “Health costs are tied to economic and social conditions, which are interconnected. The government is working to minimize the adverse effects of pharmaceutical sanctions on public health.” She acknowledged that while much of Iran’s medicine is produced domestically, the country is not entirely self-sufficient, and intensified sanctions significantly increase costs. “Through insurance coverage, optimized drug consumption, and a referral system, we aim to mitigate these challenges,” she added, noting Iran’s higher-than-average drug consumption compared to many nations.

Responding to a journalist’s question about a message for Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, Mohajerani said, “Security is inherent and not a commodity to be bought. It must be fostered in people’s hearts to support governance. Don’t gamble your country’s assets as a president, and beware of losing them in that gamble.”

On domestic policy, Mohajerani addressed plans to review subsidies for high-income groups, stating, “Budget Law 1404 mandates the elimination of cash subsidies for the top three income deciles (8, 9, and 10), ensuring aid reaches those truly in need.”

She also discussed spring exhibitions aimed at cutting out middlemen and offering products at 5-30% discounts, alongside continuing the distribution of commodity vouchers for lower-income deciles in two phases. Regarding the Minister of Communications’ recent trip to Serbia, she emphasized Iran’s balanced foreign policy, leveraging global capacities, including Europe, for technological and economic collaboration.

Mohajerani reassured the public that basic goods warehouses are fully stocked, with governors tasked as provincial market regulation heads to address local needs. She explained the Program and Budget Organization’s silence on next year’s budget changes amid the impeachment, stating, “Disrupting public calm and markets benefits no one. Efforts are underway to maintain stability, with essential goods still subsidized at the 28,500-toman currency rate.”

On negotiations, she clarified, “We don’t say ‘no talks under sanctions,’ but rather ‘no talks under maximum pressure.’ Negotiation is voluntary, not forced, and must be a dialogue toward a shared goal. We won’t negotiate under maximum pressure, but we’re open to respectful talks.”

Commenting on Gaza and U.S. President Trump’s alleged relocation plan, she said, “Gaza is an inseparable part of Palestine, the cradle of divine religions. This policy is a continuation of genocide against its people—an unforgivable crime. We stand with Palestinians and hope this ends soon.”

On Iran’s Hirmand water rights, she noted that the Foreign Minister’s Kabul visit secured water flow, not just due to rainfall, with hopes for its continuation.

Addressing energy and water imbalances, Mohajerani outlined 14 mega-projects, including boosting power plant capacity and targeting 30,000 megawatts of renewable energy over four years—exceeding the 7th Development Plan’s 12,000-megawatt goal. In education, she highlighted President’s focus, with 18 meetings held to enhance pre-school access, teaching quality, and reduce dropout rates.

With Ramadan and Nowruz approaching, tourism services will extend until April 13, supported by 1.2 million personnel. Mohajerani endorsed the “No to Accidents” campaign, urging safer driving given Iran’s high crash fatality rates. “Impeachment ”

She affirmed the government’s commitment to mother-tongue education under Article 15 of the Constitution, with a comprehensive bill in progress to preserve Iran’s linguistic heritage—potentially spanning 400 to 1,400 dialects—while addressing bilingual students’ educational challenges.

Mohajerani hailed Mohammad Javad Zarif, who resigned as strategic deputy to the president, as a “system asset,” expressing hope for legal reforms to retain such talents. She concluded by assuring citizens that the government is tackling year-end banking limits and market stability, with details forthcoming from relevant authorities.

TEHRAN (Iran News) –A couple of days ago I was busy watching a debate on a TV program, Jahan Ara, where Dr. Toghyani and DR. Jebraeeli were present in the debate that was anchored by Mr. Sabeti.

The debate heated up and both respected intellectuals debated on the topic of base of prices and the way of government’s manipulation in influencing the idea of free market in the economy but the debate was more an argument than a debate because both sides considered each other pre-convicted of insulating their opinions on the structure of economic decision-makers of the government and therefor a hugger mugger picture from the economy has been painted.

In fact, both sides with their own languages (bringing it but not mentioning it) were painting this picture that Iran’s economy has no clear definition of any economic school. Toghyani was accusing the other side of being a Marxist and in return Jebraeeli was accusing Toghyani of being a pro-liberalism capitalist. Of course both sides did not spare anything to undermine the talks and doctrine of the other side.

I believe these two ways of view regarding the debate topic from the rough-and-tumble economic team of the government in the issue of economy, which has been actually comprised of a political team than an economic-wise, leads to this that all definitions in Iran’s economic bed have more political goals than economic ones. In other words, few officials are found to lay a stable rail for persistent economic decisions.

During the all past 45 years, most of decisions made in the field of economy in Iran has had political flavor. The Islamic Republic of Iran in its foreign policy whether right or wrong has followed a certain and defined policy and coincidentally in establishing the anti-West culture has achieved massive successes both for Asia and the region but in taking economic decisions in fact it has acted like a storm-hit downwind boat in the money sea and has gone ahead till now and the reason why it has not collapsed yet is reliance on injection of petro-dollars.

If I were to express a bold opinion, I could claim that this bewilderment and confusion has cost a great deal for the country. The proof for this issue that can be mentioned is some $2,000b of oil and non-oil sales have not even led to completion of 30% of the infrastructures. I put growth in military and nuclear structure and to some extent growth in scientific, industrial and agriculture structures in the mentioned 30%. Despite it, this 30% growth has helped to maintain the hegemony of the revolution in Iran and to some extent in the region and I claim if we moved in the direction of a defined economy, at least we would not have had the current domestic problems and both sanctions and media hostilities could have less destructive efforts on the trend of materializing the goals of our Islamic Revolution.

On this issue, I do not have any intention to analyze the past wrong actions. I see the mentality of the 13th government in supporting production and approach to privatization different from the past governments but it does not mean that I do not see the problems in decision making of the government in orienting the economy.

The previous governments had raised many problem statements in front of Iranian nation without any solutions for them and I should say God willing the plague of their presence has been eradicated and today the government, Majlis and Judiciary are preparing some intermittent solutions for some of these issues and have turned into crisis managers.

Economy also like foreign policy should find a single voice to move in a clear and bright direction. The views of Marxism and socialism are also unable to save the economy and it costs heavy because it leaves fundamental distortions on the axes of creating obstruction. Essentially I should tell that Marxists divide the world into two groups and say the first group is exploiter and the second one is the exploited and therefore history in all of the past periods has been nothing but class struggle between the exploiters and exploited people, it means, economic interests of some people necessitates to remain in the same stage and are opposed to the progress of production tools (ruling exploiter group) and one group wants growth and progress of production tools and getting rid of the current condition (the exploited group) and this leads to repeated conflicts and struggles which leads to a new system (new society) where beside production tools, economic, culture, traditions and religious interests and thought, in one word, change comparing to the previous society; and after a while, again this new system changes its path after fight, war and bloodshed which it itself has been the main factor behind it and it converts into a new system in the form and not in the content.

Regressive and reactionary trend of these transformations are very obvious in the underdeveloped countries comparing to the developed ones. The economy which is fatherly run is a consumerist one and consumption economy has no tendency towards innovation and creativity in developing production tools. With this definition, one can unequivocally say that Marxism is not an economic school and emitted socialism from it leads to a fatherly view to the consumption economy, and modernism in this thought is the least.

Today most of Marxist socialists believe socialism has failed and believe Marxism is a social doctrine, a worldview, an ideology, a philosophical school which was found in the late 19th Century by Carl Marx, the German philosopher, economist, historian, sociologist and political theorist.

Base of Marxism as it has been mentioned in the Communism manifest has been laid on history of societies and history of class struggle and in today’s world there exists two classes of Proletariat and Bourgeoisie which are in clash to overcome each other and make these two histories and as I said, for years it induces replacement behavior

The right view and approach to a school-based economy even in the framework of ethical school of Islam is a view to free market and to some extent towards reasonable distribution of wealth. People should enjoy having the talent, understanding and environmental preparation and they themselves provoke production based on the demand and supply and to push the government out of the economy.

John Maynard Keynes, the English economist and philosopher, describes the view on the market as distribution of wealth from up to down and believes growth in any geography looks at big enterprises and encourages the governments to support industry and agriculture, services and leaders of economy and unlike him, Friedrich August von Hayek, who is considered as the founder of Austrian economy does not believe in distribution of wealth from up to down. Hayek believes distribution of wealth from up to down increases the Gini coefficient and decreases the volume of capability in producing jobs and both are liberal with two different views and these two views have set the base of the economies of West and East for their one-hundred year challenges.

We have to support the big enterprises for creating fast growth but in a ten-year plan range, the path for supporting should be directed by at least 10% per year towards supporting the small enterprises and lower classes of the society. We should stop banking chaos and distribution of money and instead of increasing salaries, goods are distributed and distribution of goods via the government should be stopped and it should be handed over to the enterprises which will be a pretext for encouraging them to production, and let the entrepreneurship and employership is formed and organized in order to increase the output and productivity.

If the production is the yardstick for growth, we should save work from the damages of rebellions. The employer should have this power to go through good and bad of his work. I think it went too much. I apologize for prolonging it and of course I will continue this topic later.

TEHRAN (Iran News) –The governor of Iran Central Bank says the government has prepared plans to curb inflation and to boost production in cooperation of all related bodies in the country, adding that with regular planning, the inflation will definitely be guided to the lower levels in the current year.

Speaking in his New Year meeting with the CBI staff, Dr. Mohammad Reza Farzin pointed to the naming of the current year by the Supreme Leader as the year of “inflation control and production” and stipulated that materialization of the goal of curbing inflation hinges on liquidity control, curbing the rise in the government expenditures and taking proper financial and foreign policies.

Farzin noted that regarding the inflation, the central bank plays key role, emphasizing that for years inflation has turned into a chronic issue in Iran’s economy and all of the establishment should work to curb it. He added that regarding the liquidity, he believes all indicators should be directed to the generative markets in order that its effects can be seen in curbing inflation and production growth.

He reiterated that taking a proper foreign policy will help the adopted policies in the forex and monetary markets, adding that for curbing the inflation, the country needs monetary and financial policies.

Farzin also emphasized reform in the banking system and pointed to some problems of banks in recent years which should be taken into consideration during reforming banking system in order to control liquidity and curbing inflation.

He then pointed to the launch of center for forex and gold exchanges and the role of this center in the region and the world, reiterating that this center has irreplaceable role in economic stability and deepening the forex market and in the future after the removal of the sanctions will boost the relations in the region and the world and it even under the sanction can help stability in the forex market by using modern existing forex tools.

Farzin reiterated that the Central Bank is the most important economic body in any country and it is very influential in the financial policies of the countries and its decisions can have daily impact on other markets and therefore decision-making in the bank is very tough and vital.

TEHRAN (Iran News) –President Ebrahim Raisi and members of the cabinet renewed allegiance to the lofty ideals of the late Imam Khomeini (RA).

Iran’s president and cabinet members on Tuesday morning took part in the mausoleum of the late founder of the Islamic Revolution Imam Khomeini (RA).

The ceremony was held concurrent with the beginning of the 10-Day Fajr celebrations that mark the 44th anniversary of Iran’s 1979 Islamic Revolution.

Speaking in the ceremony, Raisi stressed the need for delving deeply into the lifestyle and personality of the late Imam Khomeini.

Emphasizing that the Popular Administration considers itself committed to paying attention to the people’s wishes more than ever before, the President said, “The Popular Administration has put all its efforts into forming a society based on ethics, spirituality and justice based on the ideals of the Late Imam in different fields and in this way, it has made a pact with the Late Imam and his lofty ideals”.

Raisi appeared at the holy shrine of the Late Imam Khomeini (RA), and while renewing allegiance with the ideals of the Imam and the martyrs of the Islamic Revolution, congratulated all the people of Islamic Iran on the arrival of the Ten-Day Dawn celebration.

The President stated that it is an important point that after 44 years of the victory of the Islamic Revolution, this precious legacy of the Imam has survived in spite of all the seditions, conspiracies and plots of the enemy and hostilities, and has found more manifestations in the world, saying, “The Islamic Revolution is rooted in Imam’s sincerity and the truthfulness of this message, speech and invitation”.

Raisi called loyalty and affection of the people as another reason for the durability of the Islamic Revolution and added, “The clear reason for this affection is the numerous martyrs who rested a short distance from the holy shrine of the Late Imam and sacrificed their lives to protect this revolution and great transformation”.

The President stated that God created this revolution and this great transformation in the hearts and He Himself is the guardian of it, and stated, “Today more than ever, we need this revolution and its dimensions and the Imam and his great personality in a comprehensive way”.

Raisi considered the way to protect today’s young people as being familiar with the personality of the Imam (RA) and the dimensions of the Islamic Revolution and clarified, “All those involved in cultural affairs, speech and writing should know that one of the ways to protect the society is to the Jihad of Explanation, especially the young people of today who have not seen Imam (RA) and the war period, it is the introduction of the personality of the Imam (RA) and the dimensions of the Islamic Revolution”.

Pointing out that this should be done artistically and with today’s language and using today’s techniques, the President added, “Today more than ever, we need the society, especially the youth, to understand the conduct and behavior, the goal and ideal of the Imam (RA). The reason why the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution, after the demise of Imam Khomeini, come to visit the shrine of Imam (RA) every year is because he wants to make us realise that today we should pay attention to the Imam, his character, his ways, and his conduct”.

Raisi continued by emphasizing that the ideals of the Imam (RA) in establishing a society based on rationality, justice, ethics and spirituality should be believed and followed in an executive manner, noting, “The enemies and ill-wishers are looking to prevent these goals and ideals from being realized. They do not want a new word and civilization to be formed in the name of Islam”.

The President said, “The enemy’s claim is that we are talking about a new world, but Imam (RA) presented a new perspective, plan and civilization to the human society, based on which the society can build its own world based on religion and can put religion at the center of all the needs of the society”.

Raisi pointed out that the enemy wanted to prevent the realization of Imam’s new vision by imposing an 8-year war, conspiracies and role-playing by hypocrites and seditions that are still going on, and added, “The enemy is looking to prevent a revolution, which has passed the period of its formation, consolidation and development, from bearing fruit, but in this war of wills, God helped the companions of Imam (RA) to introduce these ideals to the Islamic society and the human society through their efforts and sacrificing their pure blood”.

The President stated that today the duty of the government and all those who serve the people is to pay attention to the rights and wishes of the people and strive to implement justice in line with the wishes of the Imam, and stated, “Imam Khomeini (RA) was not like other politicians of the world, who ceremonially talk about people’s needs, but he truly believed in the people and their ruling, which is the implementation of justice”.

The President clarified, “Today, our society needs hope more than anything. We, who know the country’s capacities, material and spiritual reserves, and especially the capacity of the country’s efficient young manpower, know and believe that the future will be very bright”.

The President said, “Today we must seek help from the pure soul of the Imam (RA) and the pure souls of the martyrs, and in the government with effort and struggle and work day and night”.

TEHRAN (Iran News) – First vice president Mohammad Mokhber says the administration is determined to enable a fair distribution of subsidies among the people, urging the public “not to worry” over purchases of essential items, amid a rise in prices of certain flour-based goods in the country.

In a TV interview, Mokhbar briefed Iranians on the administration’s measures to pave the way for a fair distribution of the subsidies and explained the root causes of the recent increases of prices in the country and the food security challenges currently gripping the world.

He said the shortages of some essential items and their rising prices were mainly caused by drought in regions that served as the main suppliers of such items, the war between Russia and Ukraine, two of the major providers of grain to the global market, as well as hoarding in different parts of the world.

The official also provided explanations on the decision by the government to eliminate the subsidy for industrial use of flour, which has led to a sharp hike in prices of a number of wheat-based items, such as sweets, pasta, baguettes, and noodles.

The issue of eliminating the subsidies was not brought up in the budget bill for the current fiscal year, but the administration placed the measure on its agenda to prevent shortages of essential items and fight their smuggling to other countries, he said.

Meanwhile Mokhber reassured the public that the subsidies for bread and medicine would never be eliminated.

“Following their defeat on the military field, the enemies of Iran have shifted the battle ground to economic war with the Iranian nation, which is even more dangerous,” he added.

He went on to say that people do not need to panic over the shortage of the basic goods in the country, reiterating that the government has plans to help the public and to fight smuggling of the goods because of the subsidies.

Mokhber then pointed to some actions of the government to make sanctions ineffective, noting that when the new government started its work, the country used to sell some 600,000 barrels of oil per day and it was almost unable to take the money back but the government could increase the oil sales and find ways to get the money back.

He said some economic experts predicted the dollar price in Iran to hit 40,000 tomans per dollar but the government with its measures could stabilize the economic indicators and it could lower the inflation rate from 50% to some 35% by the end of the past year.

He also criticized some companies which do not act economically and they make money and whopping profits due to the subsidies paid by the government for the raw materials or products and the companies make money by selling them based on the free market rate or exporting them. He said recent criticisms over the actions of the government come from those who lose these ran-seeking opportunities.

Mokhber invited all elites and experts to help the government to reform the current economic structure in order that all walks of the life can benefit of it.

TEHRAN (Iran News) – President Seyed Ebrahim Raisi says the discourse of the Popular Government is to create change and try to bring the current situation as close as possible to the desired situation, stating that the document of the government’s desired change is based on the Declaration of the Second Step of the Islamic Revolution.

Speaking in a meeting with elites, clerics, martyrs’ families, war veterans and people of Alborz Province on Thursday afternoon, Raisisaid: “In the last 40 years, many steps have been taken for the development of this region, but there is a longer way to go”.

He further stated, “The main strategy of today is the system of creating hope for the future, and whoever moves in this direction, moves in the direction of achieving the goal of the system”.

Pointing out that today there is a very heavy responsibility on all officials in the Islamic Republic, the President stated, “Today, we must all realize that although the enemy does not want Iran to progress and become strong, but our duty is to redouble our efforts”.

Raisi then added that the main focus of our efforts should be to strengthen the components of power of the Islamic Republic, noting, “Today, science, economics and the support and presence of the people are the most important components of power”.

The President described one of the most important factors in strengthening the people’s trust in the system to improve the efficiency of the administrative system.

In another part of his speech, Raisi said, “The discourse of the Popular Government is to create change and try to bring the current situation as close as possible to the desired situation”.

“It’s not a difficult task to describe and explain justice, but it is important that people feel in practice that justice has been done,” he said.

He went on to say, “The government will focus on the will of the people in the path of justice, and wherever the will and interests of the people are in conflict with the will of some special group, the public will take precedence”.

Emphasizing that the people are dissatisfied with corruption and discrimination, and therefore the government should base its work on eliminating corruption and discrimination in the country’s administrative system, the president said, “The government should act according to justice and the people should closely monitor the government’s performance”.

In another part of his speech, the President mentioned paying attention to the dignity and improving the quality of teachers’ work, paying attention to providing appropriate education for students in the education system and paying attention to the education provided in kindergartens, among other government concerns in the education system.

Raisi went on to describe the government’s plan for economic reform, saying, “The day we took over the government, the $8 billion in the 1400 budget for the payment of the preferred currency was almost gone, but the government did its best to manage the supply of basic goods without shock to the market, in which the Supreme Leader also helped the government a lot”.

The President added, “There was no lack of coordination in this regard in different parts of the government and the government’s position in this regard was quite clear from the beginning. The economic team of the 13th government is working in high coordination to implement government policies and strengthen the national economy”.

Raisi also talked about the document of the transformation of the Popular Government, saying, “16 think tanks and more than 500 experts in various fields gave expert opinions about this document”.

The President also clarified about the government’s plan to regulate the automobile industry, saying, “During my visit to Iran Khodro, I emphasized that the monopoly of the automobile industry in the country should be reformed as soon as possible”.

In the last part of his speech, Raisi emphasized the need for consensus and participation of all members of society to bring about change in the country.

The President stated, “We expect the university, as the think tank of the government, to formulate the system of the country’s problems and the seminaries to offer a solution to solve the country’s problems by relying on dynamic and civilization-building jurisprudence”.

TEHRAN (Iran News) – Mass construction companies of the private sector are going to sign deals with the government with the aim of building one million affordable houses within the framework of the National Housing Action Plan.

The companies will submit a proposed plan in this regard to Transport and Urban Development Ministry to be reviewed within a week, IRNA reported on Saturday.

Last week, Transport and Urban Development Minister Rostam Qasemi held a meeting with representatives of mass construction companies to discuss details of future cooperation. During the meeting, he announced the government’s support for the private sector investors who intend to enter the construction market.

Back in August, the deputy head of Mass Construction Association Iraj Rahbar said the country’s contractors are capable of constructing one million housing units a year if the necessary funding and land is provided.

Mentioning a plan for the construction of one million affordable housing units per year by the government, Rahbar said: “Allocating land and financing are two important factors for the successful implementation of any housing project, and if these two are provided, building one million housing units per year will be easily possible.”

Commenced in winter 2018, the National Housing Action Plan aims to construct 400,000 small and medium-size apartments (70-100 square meters in size) across the country and particularly in Tehran, where housing prices have risen most sharply.

Nearly half of the total number of the said houses will be constructed in Tehran’s suburban “new towns” such as Parand and Pardis, respectively located in the west and east of the city.

Back in March, former Transport Minister Mohammad Eslami had announced that 510,000 residential units will be provided for the applicants within the framework of the National Housing Action Plan during the current year.

In September 2019, the registration of the National Housing Action Plan was started from Kerman Province. The second round of registration began in ten other provinces in November that year.

Applicants in Sistan-Baluchestan, Qom, North Khorasan, and South Khorasan provinces registered first and those from Kordestan, Kohgiluyeh-Boyerahmad, and Golestan came in the second stage, while from Chaharmahal-Bakhtiari, Hamedan, and Yazd provinces came in the third stage.

TEHRAN (Iran News) – President Seyed Ebrahim Raisi says, “The next year budget is the first important financial document to be submitted to Majlis in this government, adding that the government wants this budget to have no deficit and inflation and to include economic growth”.

Speaking in the meeting of the government and the Majlis on Wednesday,Raisi said, “We consider consulting with our friends in the Majlis and experts as an asset for us.”

Referring to the priority of a bill over a plan in the statements of the Supreme Leader of the Revolution in a meeting with the members of the Islamic Consultative Assembly, the President emphasized, “Sometimes the concerns of the parliament members are presented in the form of a plan; this is the right of the representatives, but if the plans are drafted using the opinion of experts and government officials, they will become law with more richness”.

While emphasizing the clarification of the provisions of the Sixth Development Plan, Ayatollah Raisi said, “The next year budget is the first document that is to be submitted to the parliament. The head of the Plan and Budget Organization will take advantage of the opinions of MPs to draft a budget bill. The government wants the 1401 budget not to have deficits and inflation and to have economic growth.”

The President described legislation and laying the rails for the movement of society as the great duty and responsibility of the Islamic Consultative Assembly and said, “The parliament is a manifestation of the will, vote and discernment of the people and today in our country this laying for the society is manifested in the form of legislation”.

Emphasizing the need to pay attention to the implementation of the law, Raisi said, “All individuals and officials, without exception, should define themselves with the law and be obliged to implement the law, because the law is the center of society”.

Ayatollah Raisi stated that the best and most important criterion for the administration of justice is the implementation of the law, adding, “The criterion for measuring justice in society is agreement on the implementation of the law, and if the law is enforced, justice is enforced and if the law is violated, justice is violated”.

The President considered it important to keep the laws up-to-date and efficient, and said, “But more important is the effort to revise the laws, which the Supreme Leader of the Revolution has repeatedly emphasized, and the parliament is central to this issue.”

Raisi described the convergence, empathy and cohesion of all parts of the country necessary for the correct implementation of laws and emphasized, “The coordination and integration of the three branches in all systems and institutions are not a tactic but a strategy that should not be compromised in any way.”

Ayatollah Raisi said, “The result of ignoring spirituality and politics in today’s world is the increase of nuclear warheads, 70 years of oppression on the Palestinian people and many oppressions that occur in different parts of the world.”

He also underlined the need to politics go hand in hand with spirituality, saying today’s problems in the world stem from the separation of the two from each other.

He said the divorce of politics from spirituality led to the production of nuclear warheads.

The president said Iran’s Parliament today is the manifestation of people’s will, and that a country where elections are held must ensure the prevalence of law. Raisi also said just laws, just enforcement of laws and just judgments are main pivots of administering justice.
