<p><em>TEHRAN (<a href="https://www.irannewsdaily.com/">Iran News</a>) –</em>At 97kg, World Championships bronze medalist Saravi had no issues beating whoever tried to challenge him. In the final Alex Szoke from Hungary led 1-1 on criteria but Saravi scored a takedown.</p>
<p>Iran’s Shayan Habib Zare also won a bronze in the weight class beating Kevin Mejia Castillo from Honduras.</p>
<p>Poya Dadmarz seized a silver medal at the 55kg, losing to Azerbaijan’s Eldaniz Azizli.</p>
<p>At 67kg the Iranian wrestlers won two bronze medals. Saeid Esmaeili beat Kyotaro Sogabe of Japan 6-5 and Mohammad Reza Geraei defeated Andres Montano from Ecuador 3-3.</p>
<p>Iran’s Danial Sohrabi defeated Shmagi Bolkvadze from Georgia 7-3 to win a bronze medal at 72kg.</p>
<p>Mohammad Reza Mokhtari defeated Azerbaijan’s Sanan Suleymanov at 77kg bronze medal match.</p>
<p>Mohammad Hossein Mahmoudi also seized a bronze medal at 87kg after defeating Ali Cengiz from Turkey 10-4.</p>
<p>This was the last UWW Ranking Series event of the season and gave the athletes a final chance to up their ranking prior to the Olympic Games.</p>

										<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>The 27th edition of biggest annual Korean martial arts event, the World Taekwondo Hanmadang was held in PyeongChang, South Korea in two section of male and female on 26 -31 July 2019.</p>
<p>Iran&#8217;s representatives won 16 gold, 10 silver and 11 bronze medals in World Taekwondo Hanmadang.</p>
<p>Practitioners competed in 12 events and 59 fields for domestic participants and 54 for those from overseas. The festival brings together nearly five thousand people from 57 countries.</p>
<p>The world Taekwondo Hanmadang, which shows the essentials of the martial art such as breaking, self-defense and poomsae, is a contest held every year by Kukkiwon. It introduces the cultural superiority of Taekwondo and promotes the martial art as a valuable Korean culture.</p>

										<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>According to Public Relations Department of Iranian Taekwondo Federation, at the end of the team competitions as part of the 30th Summer Universiade in the Naples, Italy on Saturday, the Iranian taekwondo team defeated the team of Egypt in the final to clinch the title of the team division.</p>
<p>Prior to facing Egypt, the Iranian squad had beaten Ukraine, China, Malaysia teams.</p>
<p>The individual competitions of the Universiade 2019 has yet to be decided. The Iranian fighters have so far collected 6 gold, 3 silver and 7 bronze medals.</p>
<p>The Universiade is an international multi-sport event, organized for university athletes by the International University Sports Federation.  The 30th Summer Universiade kicked off in the Naples, Italy on July 3 and will wrap up tomorrow July 14.</p>

<p>In the final of men’s +80kg category, Mardani overwhelmed the Asian Champion Kyo-don In of South Korea and received the $50,000 reward. In his route to final, the Iranian practitioner outplayed USA’s Stephen Lambdin 2-1, South Korea’s Gil-young Byeon 2-0, before gaining another 2-0 victory over China’s Zhaoxiang in the semifinal.</p>
<p>Song pocketed the bronze medal of this category after defeating his countryman Hongyi Sun 2-0.</p>
<p>Earlier today, the other Iranian fighter, Armin Hadipour won the bronze medal of men’s -58kg category.</p>
<p>The 2018 World Taekwondo Grand Slam Champions Series kicked off on December 12 in Wuxi, China. 124 taekwondo practitioner from 38 different countries are participating in the prestigious event which wraps up today.</p>

<p>About 3,000 athletes with disabilities from a record 43 countries and territories are taking part in the games that opened in the Indonesian capital on Saturday.</p>

										<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Rouhollah Rostami claimed a gold medal at the Men&#8217;s Up To 72.00kg of the 2018 Asian Para Games on Tuesday.<br />
Rostami finished in first place after lifting 229kg.</p>
<p>He set a world record as well at this weight category.</p>
<p>Iraqi Rasool Mohsin won the silver with 220kg and the bronze medal went to Sergey Meladze from Turkmenistan with 185kg.</p>
<p>About 3,000 athletes with disabilities from a record 43 countries and territories are taking part in the games that opened in the Indonesian capital on Saturday.</p>
<p>The Asian Para Games will run through October 13.</p>

<p>The Iranian squad put on a brilliant performance at the final showdown held in Jakarta on Saturday, defeating their South Korean rivals in three straight sets (25-17, 25-22, 25-21) to win the second gold medal of Asian Games volleyball contests.</p>
<p>The volleyball gold rounded up Iran’s medal tally to 20.</p>
<p>Defending champions Iran had handed Qatar its first loss of the 2018 Asian Games in the semi-final, defeating their rival team in three straight sets (25-23, 25-19, 25-18) to fight for the gold medal. The Iranian team had won against Pakistan, Mongolia and China in the three first games.</p>
<p>The 2018 Asian Games will come to an end on Sunday. With 20 gold medals, 20 silver, and 22 bronze, Iran is ranked 6th after China, Japan, South Korea, Indonesia and Uzbekistan.</p>
