Iran has exported 62,500 tons of fisheries in the first half of the current Iranian calendar year (March 21-September 22), according to an official with Iran Fisheries Organization (IFO).
The deputy head of Iran Fisheries Organization announced on Wednesday that trade value of salmon breeding stands at $580 million in Iran.
A total of 2,147 tons of different kinds of seafood worth over $7.7 million were exported from Iran’s southern Bushehr province in the first three months of the current Iranian year (March 21- June 21), a senior official said.
Head of Iran Fisheries Organization Nabiollah Khoun Mirzaei said that Islamic Republic of Iran and Oman enjoy high capacities and potentials for enhancing bilateral cooperation in fishing and fishery fields.
Currently, Iran grows and produces 1.2 million fish and shrimp per year, Nabiollah Khoun Mirzaei, a deputy minister of agriculture said on Saturday.
