SANA’s reporter said that army units detected a terrorist group affiliated with “al-Izza Brigades” that were trying to sneak from the surroundings of the Hasraya, al-Sakhir, and Kafar Zeita villages in Mharde northern countryside towards military points in the surroundings of the safe villages.

The army units dealt with them using concentrated artillery strikes , inflicting losses upon them.

About 30 km north of Hama city near the administrative border of Idleb southern countryside , an army unit also foiled an infiltration attempt by a terrorist group from Jabhat al-Nusra in the surroundings of Morek village , inflicting heavy losses upon them, the reporter added.

Ali Larijani made the remarks in a meeting with the Chief of Iran-Portugal Parliamentary Friendship Group Amado Silva in Tehran on Monday afternoon.

Referring to the importance of expanding relations between Iran and Portugal, Larijani said “Iran is keen to expand trade and economic relations with Portugal.”

The Iranian parliament speaker further said that there are various fields of oil, gas and joint investment to develop relations between the two countries.

Larijani, furthermore, expressed his dissatisfaction with the level of business relations between the two countries of Iran and Portugal, calling for using all the available capacities to increase bilateral trade.

Elsewhere in his remarks, the Iranian parliament speaker condemned the US actions, for instance, its unlawful withdrawal from international agreements including the JCPOA, saying that the Europeans can play a constructive role.

He said that, the Americans are provoking chaos in the region with their actions.

Amado Silva, for this part, attached great importance to Portugal’s relations with Iran, saying “expansion and strengthening cooperation and bilateral relations with Iran is very important and today, the two countries’ parliaments have expressed their determination to improve the level of relations.”

Silva further expressed condolences to the people of Iran, especially the families of the victims on behalf of the government and parliament of Portugal.

With respect to the US unlawful withdrawal from the JCPOA, he said “the Portugal’s Parliament supports the Islamic Republic and hopes that Iran stays in the deal as the nuclear deal is a good agreement for international peace, development and stability.”
