TEHRAN (Iran News) Defense Minister Brigadier General Aziz Nasirzadeh says the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) has the potential to expand its scope of activities and establish effective security coalitions in the future.

Nasirzadeh, who accompanied the president on his recent visit to China, outlined the achievements of the trip and emphasized the significance of discussions held on the sidelines of the SCO summit.

“During this meeting, officials from member states engaged in discussions regarding security and defense issues,” he said.

He went on to explain that the Shanghai Cooperation Organization is currently focused primarily on counter-terrorism and combating drug trafficking. However, he suggested that, given its current trajectory, the organization could expand its activities in the future and establish effective security coalitions.

The SCO summits, which were held from August 31 to September 1, brought together heads of state from over 30 countries and international organizations, aiming to foster cooperation and address pressing global issues.

TEHRAN (Iran News) Nasirzadeh told reporters on Wednesday that in the 12-day Israeli-imposed war in June, the Islamic Republic was not only facing the occupying regime but also the full logistical, intelligence, and support capacity of the United States.

He said the missiles that were used in the war had been produced years earlier by the Ministry of Defense, adding, “Today we have manufactured and deployed missiles with far better capabilities compared to those used previously, and if the Zionist enemy embarks on another adventurism, we will definitely use these missiles.”

Nasirzadeh stressed that the Armed Forces of the Islamic Republic did not rely on any foreign sources during the 12-day war.

“Everything that was used in the war was produced by our defense industries, and the world witnessed that the missiles we deployed precisely hit their targets and inflicted heavy damage on the Zionist enemy,” he said.

He said that although the Israeli regime’s media censorship did not allow the full impact of the Iranian missiles to be shown, reports about their strikes were gradually released, which demonstrated the capability of Iran’s Armed Forces.

The defense minister said that during the war, Israel used its most advanced defense systems, including THAAD, Patriot, Iron Dome, and Arrow. TEHRAN (Iran News)  Defense Minister Brigadier General Aziz Nasirzadeh warned that the enemy should not even think of attacking Iran or it will face the rigid and devastating response by the Islamic Republic.

Referring to the military threats of the US secretary of defense, Nasirzadeh said, “Unfortunately, we are witnessing that, on the one hand, American officials state that they are honest and willing to negotiate, and on the other hand, some American officials regularly and through various means threaten the Islamic Republic with a military attack.”

He said that the Islamic Republic of Iran has a large stockpile of missiles, and if war is imposed, it will use them without hesitation or consideration against targets anywhere.

The Defense minister warned that “if we are attacked or a war is imposed on us, we will respond with might.”

“We will attack their interests and their bases, and we will not be reluctant and will not see any limits in this regard,” Brigadier General Nasirzadeh emphasized.

“We are not enemies of our neighboring countries, and they are our brothers, but the U.S. bases on their soil will be our targets,” he warned.

Referring to the newly-developed ballistic missile by Iran, Brigadier-General Nasirzadeh said that the new solid-fueled missile will have better maneuverability as compared to the previous missiles, and will be immune against different air defenses such as THAAD, Patriot and those of the Israeli regime.

It has a range of 1,200 km, the minister added.

TEHRAN (Iran News)  Brigadier General Aziz Nasirzadeh, Minister of Defense and Armed Forces Logistics of Iran, says the Islamic Republic is ready to give a strong and decisive response to any threat or mistake by the enemy.

He was addressing the 17th Cultural Festival of Ali Akbar (AS) entitled “Young Soldier Festival” at the Summit Hall of the Ministry of Defense in Tehran on Tuesday that was attended by the top military brass, including Chairman of the Chiefs of Staff of Iranian Armed Forces Major General Mohammad Bagheri.

Pointing to enemy threats, General Nasirzadeh said that the Islamic Republic has no place for fear of the enemy given its youth power and that the country will respond decisively to the enemy’s excesses.

“Enemies are always trying to create division among us under various pretexts” he said, adding that the country’s intelligent and insightful soldiers will never allow the unity and brotherhood to be damaged.

He lauded young Iranians for putting on sacred uniform in order to proudly defend their honor as well as national and religious values.

“The zealous soldiers in this uniform do not matter which city or village you are from, what language you speak, or what accent you have. What is important is that you are all standing on the same path with one goal to ensure the security of our country and defend our beloved Iran.”

A decisive and regretful response to the enemy’s possible mistake and excesses is certain by Iranian youths who have no hesitation in dealing with any threats and breaking the enemy’s false hegemony, Nasirzadeh added.

Referring to the glorious holding of the Syrian presidential election and congratulating the victory and re-election of Bashar al-Assad with a decisive vote of the Syrian people, Hatami said, “Undoubtedly, this event and the historical epic of the Syrian people symbolize the will of the Syrian people to maintain independence in the face of the greed and intrigues of the enemies of the Islamic Ummah.”

He added, “The most important issue that guarantees national interests and security of the country and the future of the people is maximum presence and participation in the elections, and God willing, this epic will turn the conspiracy of global arrogance against them on June 18.”

Hatami also pointed to the victory of Palestinian resistance groups against Israel and lauded the missile capabilities of these groups.

“The most important achievement of this victorious jihad was the unity and empathy of all Palestinians in the various parts of occupied territories against the criminal Zionist regime and its Western and American supporters,” the defense minister said, adding, “As the wise Leader of the Revolution said, ‘the Zionist regime will not see the next 25 years,’ and from now on missiles, drones and the defense capabilities of the owners of Palestine will be the nightmare of the usurpers.”

The remarks came a day after several senior Iranian military officials expressed support for the Palestinian resistance groups.

Commander of the Islamic Revolution Guard Corps (IRGC) General Hossein Salami said the Palestinians emerged stronger from the war and they will get stronger by the day. “A new Palestine has emerged, and the recent war imposed a strong Palestine on the calculations of the Zionist entity [Israel] from now on. The Palestinians will become stronger day by day, and the Israelis must realize that they cannot live in the midst of an enemy that has become so powerful,” General Salami told Russian state broadcaster RT.

The IRGC Quds Force Commander, General Esmail Qaani, also issued a stark warning to Israel, underlining that Israel should think of an imminent delivery of rule over the Occupied Lands to the Palestinians.
“I advise the Zionists to return to their houses that they have sold in Europe and America before these houses become more expensive,” Qaani said, according to Fars News.

“Many of the infrastructural facilities were within the reach of Palestinian missiles and could be targeted… but, they [Resistance groups] refused to target them because it will not take long for Palestinians to use these facilities,” the Quds force chief predicted.

According to Qaani, during the first three days of the Gaza war, the number of the missiles fired by the Resistance Front at the Occupied Territories was as much as the entire 22-day war which indicates the power of Resistance.

“We all witnessed how Gaza bravely defended all Palestinian lands, despite being under sanctions for 15 years,” the general said, adding, “The Palestinian Resistance acted in such a way that from the first day, the Zionist regime begged its friendly countries to call on the Palestinians to stop the war.”

“The era when the Zionist regime wanted to kill the Palestinians with weapons, bullets and guns has gone. Today, more than 3,000 missiles fired at the occupied territories were produced by the Palestinians themselves,” Qaani underlined.

The latest exhibition on achievements by the Ministry of Defense in the field of ground combat has been held by the Defense Industries Organization. Advanced equipment in the fields of oil, gas, mining, chemicals and bio-defense items are also on display.

The exhibition is held on the 40th anniversary of the liberation of Khorramshahr.
