Noting that Netanyahu’s ridiculous show was aimed at affecting US decision on the nuclear deal with Iran, Alaeddin Boroujerdi added that the Israeli regime itself has 200 nuclear warheads and does not allow inspections by the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), whereas it tries to divert the world attention to Iran’s nuclear program.

Boroujerdi added that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s propaganda show against Iran last Tuesday was so worthless that even the occupying regime’s media did not take them seriously.

He later said that Israeli is angry that the terrorists are defeated in the region, especially in Syria and tries to make up for its defeats.

“Now that the ISIL and other terrorist groups are defeated with the support of the Islamic Republic of Iran, seeks to provoke world public opinion against Iran’s nuclear program,” the Iranian parliamentary official concluded.

Three European countries including France, Britain, and Germany have reportedly proposed fresh sanctions on Iran over its missile program in order to keep the US President Donald Trump from withdrawing the nuclear deal between major powers and Iran.

Referring to those new EU sanctions, the chairman of the Iranian Parliament’s Foreign Policy and National Security Committee Alaeddin Boroujerdi told Mehr News Agency (MNA) correspondent on Sunday that the Europeans’ action in doing so indicates their weakness against the Unites States’ pressures.

“Europe has always shown that, despite being a collection of 28 countries, it does not possess the ability to make critical decisions,” Boroujerdi pointed out.

the chairman of the Iranian Parliament’s Foreign Policy and National Security Committee went on to say “if such a decision is to be made, it will surely have a profound effect on the relations between Iran and Europe.”

Boroujerdi stressed that the Foreign Ministry of Iran has to respond to the Europeans’ behavior, adding that Iran should turn further East and its neighbors and do great businesses with countries like Russia and China as ‘that is definitely the best option” Iran has.

“Despite repeated warnings of the Iranian embassy in London over the past few months to deploy police in front of the embassy and increase security measures for the Islamic Republic’s missions, UK officials had ensured to preserve security,” he noted, adding security officials at the Iranian embassy in London had previously predicted that such an incident might happen.

He emphasized that the assault could not have happened without the approval or deliberate oversight of the British security guards and police.

The Iranian legislator said the attack was nothing but a stunt and an act of propaganda.

Regarding the recent remarks of the US president Donald Trump on the fate of the nuclear deal with Iran, the Chairman for Foreign Policy and National Security of Iranian parliament told reporters on Sunday that Mr. Trump’s recent remarks indicated his lack of knowledge of international politics, and he cannot impose any conditions on an international agreement signed by the permanent members of the UN Security Council.

Alaeddin Boroujerdi ridiculed Trump’s request for removing or adding some provisions in the deal, adding “in spite of all the threats and political rhetoric, the US officials could not withdraw from the deal and had to extend sanctions waivers.”

Boroujerdi condemned the new US sanctions against 14 Iranian persons and entities, calling them ‘in violation of the JCPOA.’

Iranian senior MP noted that Americans are wrong to think that if they quit the deal, the Islamic Republic’s nuclear capability will decline, adding Iran can return to the situation prior to the nuclear deal very fast.

Boroujerdi pointed out that Iran’s nuclear program can do better through the efforts of its researchers and scientists during the past two years, adding that the United States will be loser in case it continues its ongoing dangerous policy.

Head of the Parliament’s National Security and Foreign Policy Commission Alaeddin Boroujerdi said that in reaction to the possibility of the US Congress declaring Iran’s noncompliance with the JCPOA instead of Trump, adding “Iran’s compliance with the nuclear agreement has been time and again confirmed by the International Atomic Energy Agency as an eligible international body. The US Congress cannot declare anything contrary to this.”

He went on to add, “the US president has been pressured by the Zionists into playing a game whose main loser will definitely be him, because what he seeks by violating the nuclear deal is to put pressure on Iran.”

Washington Post has reported that US President Trump is expected to announce next week that he will “decertify” the international nuclear deal with Iran, saying it is not in the national interest of the United States and will leave the actual work of dealing with the consequences of that decision to Congress. Defense Secretary Jim Mattis who has expressed support for the deal suggested he did not believe taking the step to decertify would scrap the agreement.

Head of the Parliament’s National Security and Foreign Policy Commission Alaeddin Boroujerdi held a meeting with Syria’s President Bashar Assad on Thursday in Damascus, during which he underscored Iran’s industrial and economic capabilities, and voiced the Islamic Republic’s readiness to employ such capacities to help Syria with reconstruction after the war.

“The resolve and resistance of Syrian nation and government have thwarted the plots hatched by the US, Israeli regime and their regional allies,” he added, stressing that the Syrian nation’s resistance will go down in history.

Boroujerdi then referred to the recent letter penned by President Assad and addressed to Leader of Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Khamenei, saying the letter indicates the deeply-rooted relations between the two countries and the positive role of Iran in Syria’s recent victories in the fight against terrorism.

“The Resistance Front is faced with common enemies in the region which has necessitated continuous and regular coordination among member states,” Boroujerdi said.

The Irnaian senior MP also held talks with Syrian Foreign Minister Walid al-Muallem Syria’s newly-appointed Speaker of the People’s Council of Syria, Hammouda Sabbagh, and governor of Aleppo during his visit.
