Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesman Seyed Abbas Mousavi said a 10-member Canadian delegation is heading to Iran to deal with issues related to Canadian victims of the Ukrainian airliner’s crash in northern Iran.

The foreign ministries of the Russian Federation, France and Britain said that they will remain committed to their obligations under the 2015 nuclear deal, known as JCPOA.

Iranian President Hassan Rouhani stressed the need for the European Union to adopt an independent stance on regional issues, including the US government’s moves to create tensions in the Middle East.

The Civil Aviation Organization of Iran said it will not hand over flight recorders from the Ukraine International Airlines Boeing 737-800 plane that crashed near Tehran on Wednesday, either to the aircraft’s manufacturer or US aviation authorities.
