Army’s Naval Force to receive new vessels in coming days: Commander
TEHRAN (Iran News) The commander made the announcement on Tuesday during a press briefing held on the occasion of National Navy Day that will be marked on November 28.
He said Iran needs to possess appropriate equipment capable of operating deep in oceanic waters in order to fulfill its mission of securing shipping lines.
To advance this goal, he said, “New vessels will join the Navy’s fleet in the coming days, because our foremost priority is to ensure economic security and the safety of shipping routes in oceanic waters.”
According to the commander, Iran will continue its active participation in “future international events,” building on its previous involvement in joint drills with countries both inside and outside the region. “Army’s Naval Force”
“Iran must be present on the international maritime stage,” he emphasized, adding that such presence requires “advanced knowledge, modern equipment, and awareness of conditions in oceanic environments.”
The commander also noted that Iran’s active maritime role aligns with the nation’s firm belief that the country contributes to global security and supports states that treat the Iranian nation with respect.
