The top Iranian diplomat arrived in Dushanbe, the capital city of Tajikistan, to pay a one-day visit to the Central Asian country.

TEHRAN (Iran NewsForeign Minister Abbas Araqchi has met with Tajikistan’s President Emomali Rahmon in Dushanbe, discussing bilateral, regional and international issues.

The Iranian foreign minister sat down for talks with President Rahmon on Wednesday after he arrived in Tajikistan’s capital, Dushanbe, earlier in the day.

Ismaeil Baqaei, spokesperson for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, who accompanies the top diplomat during the one-day trip, announced their arrival on his X account.

“This morning, alongside Foreign Minister Araqchi, we arrived in Dushanbe, the capital of Tajikistan, the land of our ethnically, linguistically, and emotionally kindred people,” said the spokesperson.

He added that the agenda for the trip includes discussions with high-ranking Tajik officials on bilateral relations, as well as regional and international developments.
