TEHRAN – Iranian animated short movie ‘Unveiling Ceremony’ directed by Mehdi Boustani has been accepted to vie at VideoBabel Festival in Peru.
This festival ranks thirteenth in the world and second in South America. This is the thirteenth international screening of the film and its second show in South America.
The 8th edition of the festival, which mainly features animated movies, experimental and video-arts, will kick off on November, 27, and will last until the 1st of December.
‘Unveiling Ceremony’ depicts a ceremony during which a symbol is set to be unveiled but some problems occur during the process.
‘Unveiling Ceremony’ has already been featured at the Grenoble France, the German Dmitry, the Italian Rimini Chamber Choir, the American Pro Evolution Soccer, the Parisian Iranian films, the New American animation, the Italian Cyborg, the Polish Populism, the Chinese Shaman, and also in festivals in Spain and Argentina. It will be screened at the Jordan Dignity Festival in December as well.
The VideoBabel Festival is a project with an international reach, founded in 2009 by Dr. Jorge Mora Fernández, Spain (www.drjorgemora.com), and based in the city of Cusco, Peru. It is a project focused upon the democratization, dissemination and promotion of audiovisual and digital culture in Peru and other regions of the world. More than 2200 audiovisual works from different countries have participated in the seven annual events held since 2010.
