US, British Warplanes Intensify Airstrikes on Yemen As Sana’a Targets Israel
US and British warplanes launched fresh airstrikes on Yemen’s capital, Sana’a, and other regions early Tuesday, as Yemeni forces escalated missile attacks on Israeli targets in support of Palestinians amid the ongoing Gaza conflict.

TEHRAN (Iran News)Yemen’s al-Masirah television network reported that US and British aircraft targeted the Yemeni Defense Ministry’s premises in the Assafi’yah district of Sana’a.

Local sources said loud explosions were heard from the strike site, though details on casualties or damage were not immediately available.

Yemeni Information Minister Hashem Sharaf al-Din condemned the strikes, calling them “an attempt to diminish the Yemeni nation’s will to support the Palestinian people.”

He stressed that Yemen’s military capabilities remain intact, and its people and government will stand firm against what he described as “vicious and terrorist attacks.”

The airstrikes followed a statement by Brigadier General Yahya Saree, spokesman for the Yemeni Armed Forces, announcing a successful missile strike on an Israeli military target in Tel Aviv using a hypersonic Palestine 2 ballistic missile.

Saree stated that the attack supported Palestinians in Gaza and achieved its objectives.

“The Yemeni Armed Forces will strike all Israeli facilities within the occupied territories,” Saree said, vowing continued operations until Israel ends its offensive on Gaza and lifts the siege.

Hours earlier, American and British warplanes conducted airstrikes on Yemen’s northern Midi district in Hajjah province.

Targets were also hit in the At Tuhayta district of Yemen’s western Hudaydah province, though no immediate information on losses was provided.

Since the war in Gaza began on October 7, Yemen has declared open support for Palestinians, with the country’s Armed Forces carrying out retaliatory strikes against Israeli targets.

Israel’s genocidal offensive has killed at least 45,028 Palestinians, mostly women and children, and injured 106,962 others, according to reports from Gaza.

The US military, which deployed B-2 stealth bombers to Yemen in October, has continued airstrikes alongside Britain to counter retaliatory attacks by Sana’a.

Yemeni forces maintain they will not stop their strikes until Israel ceases its genocide in Gaza and lifts the blockade.
