TEHRAN (Iran News) –On Tuesday, media outlets reported Albanian police raided anti-Iran terrorist grouplet Mujahedeen Khalq Organization camp and it was the first of this kind of action from this government against this terrorist group that has shed the blood of many Iranians in the past and still it continues terrorist acts in Iran and against the country.
According to reports, police in Albania raided a camp belonging to the anti-Iran terrorist Mujahedin-e-Khalq Organization (MKO) due to its involvement in “terror and cyber attacks” against foreign institutions.
Clashes erupted when police attacked the camp, known as Ashraf-3, in the northwest of the capital Tirana, on Tuesday.
Reports said one person was killed and dozens of others were injured in the clashes.
Albania’s Special Court Against Crime and Corruption authorized the operation due to concerns that the MKO had been involved in terror and cyber-attacks, the interior ministry said in a statement.
According to the MKO, about a thousand police officers attacked the camp “in a criminal and oppressive act.”
“Many broke doors, cupboards, belongings and attacked residents with tear gas and spray. Many computers are broken” the MKO said.
Police, however, said in a statement that “during the operation, they caused no casualties and did not use weapons under any circumstances.”
The group urged the United States and the United Nations to condemn the raid on the camp.
The clashes happened after France said it was banning an upcoming MKO rally in Paris over fears of an attack, according to a letter sent to the organizers and seen by Reuters.
In February, the NCRI, the political arm of the MKO, attracted a large crowd to an event in central Paris, and planned its annual rally on July 1.
The ban comes as Western powers seek to ease tensions with Iran.
MKO members spent many years in Iraq, where they were hosted and armed by the former Iraqi dictator Saddam Hussein. They sided with Saddam during the 1980-88 war against Iran and then helped him quell uprisings in various parts of the Arab country.
Albania started hosting the terrorists after the group was shunned by the government of former Iraqi prime minister Nouri al-Maliki.
The European country is estimated to have been accommodating some 3,000 members of the terror cult since 2016.
The European Union, Canada, the United States, and Japan had previously listed the MKO as a “terrorist organization”.
In 2012, the group was taken off the US list of terrorist organizations. The EU followed suit, removing the group from its list of terrorist organizations.
The MKO has carried out numerous terrorist attacks against Iranian civilians and government officials over the past decades, killing nearly 17,000 Iranians.
We have not forgotten yet how Albania because of this grouplet severed its political ties with Iran and expelled Iranian diplomats but now it seems Albanian government is gradually realizing the truth behind the history and performance of this terrorist group and it is putting pressure on this grouplet and perhaps in the near future Tirana may expel the members of this grouplet because no one in the world welcomes terrorists and Europeans claim that they are fighting terrorism and therefore there is no reason to give shelter to such merciless terrorists.
The MKO members before settling in Albania were in Iraq but after political developments in this Arab country they were forced to leave and they went to Albania which turned into a haven for this terrorist group.
Of course, countries now come to their senses and gradually make the condition worse for the MKO members and they have to leave Europe and find another place to settle but it will not last too long and this group will have to pay for its crimes committed in Iran by killing many people and committing sabotage and terrorist act.
We also recommend the U.S. to stop supporting and financing this grouplet because the MKO has no room among Iranians and nobody in Iran supports this terrorist group and the MKO is now has turned into a puppet for the enemies of the country who use the grouplet for their ill-wishes and the leaders of the MKO are well aware of the grouplet’s stand among the people and just make most of it financially or politically by using the members of the group as their tools to materialize their goals.
Even reacting to this move of Albania, the U.S. Administration came to defend Albania’s decision and admitted the MKO is nor the representative of Iranians.
The MKO should expect more opposition to their presence in any country and their claim of being popular and fighting for the sake of liberating nation is something baseless and funny because the leaders of the MKO just think of themselves and power, and they do not care about people and their lives, and what happened in Albania and Paris seems to be a new chapter for the existence of this terrorist group that everybody is gradually knowing the nature of the grouplet which has survived by terrorist and mercenary acts and being financed by the enemies of the Islamic Republic of Iran.
Iran’s Foreign Ministry spokesman was right to point to the terrorist nature of the MKO and its latest clashes with Albanian police forces, insisting that the anti-Iran terror group will always pose a threat to the security of its host countries.
