Jordan delivered a huge dent to Iran’s qualification hopes when they held them to a 0-0 draw.
Both sides were evenly matched and neither could find a breakthrough as they shared the spoils after 90 minutes.
Iran football team was held to a 1-1 draw by Syria in its first match underway in Jordan.
Iran will play Palestine on Wednesday, while Jordan meet Syria.
Only the top team will assure an automatic berth in the Final in Indonesia next year.
