Persepolis coach Branko Ivankovic says that they will fight until the last second against Saudi Arabia’s Al Hilal in the second leg of the AFC Champions League semi-final.
The Iranian giant suffered a disappointing 4-0 defeat against Al Hilal last month and now face an uphill task in return match.
“First of all, we are very happy because of 3-1 victory over Esteghlal Khuzestan in Iran Professional League. It was a vital win for us since we had no five main players due to national duty. It was is a timely confidence boost ahead of Tuesday’s match against Al Hilal,” Ivankovic said.
“It will be tough, but we have another 90 minutes ahead of us. We will do our best against Al Hilal. We will fight until the last second to advance to the final match,” the Croat added.
“Firstly, we want to book a place in the final match. Otherwise, we want to be proud of our team,” Ivankovic stated.
