Turkmenistan, Ideal Destination for Exports of Engineering Knowledge

TEHRAN – Chairman of Iran-Turkmenistan Joint Chamber of Commerce believes Turkmenistan is an ideal destination for exports of knowledge of Iranian engineers especially.
On the eve of the second edition of election in the chamber, Mr. Majid Mohammadnejad elaborated prospects for cooperation ahead of Iran and Turkmenistan and called active participation of members of the chamber in election.
He then said that in the past, Turkmenistan was considered as an ideal destination for exports of mineral productions by Iranians but today, Turkmenistan can be a good destination for exports of knowledge of Iranian engineers.
He further said the economic, cultural and political background of bilateral relations of Iran and Turkmenistan shows huge economic potentials but so far most of them have remained intact and other countries have taken advantage of Turkmenistan’s economic potentials and Iran’s share of bilateral trade has fallen significantly in recent years.
Mohammadnejad added that Iranian knowledge-based companies in oil, gas and power station parts sectors have progressed well and they have found ways in the international markets while one of the most attractive industries in Turkmenistan is its oil and gas industry and it is time for Iranian companies to step into Turkmenistan market.
He reiterated that in the bilateral relations, both sides should not focus on the past successes and they should look to the current and future capacities.
