Appeasement Encourages the Enemy, Does Not Ensure Security
TEHRAN – Brigadier General Mohammad Reza Naqdi, advisor to the Commander-in-Chief of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), stated that appeasement, hesitation, and retreat in the face of the enemy neither create security nor deter aggression; instead, they embolden adversaries to increase pressure and attacks.

Appeasement Encourages the Enemy, Does Not Ensure Security

TEHRAN (Iran News) Speaking at a ceremony commemorating the anniversary of the martyrdom of Lieutenant General Qasem Soleimani in Jiroft, Sardar Naqdi emphasized that true security is maintained through steadfastness and decisive responses, not compromise.

“The experiences of Yemen, Lebanon, Palestine, and other resistance fronts show that where there has been steadfastness, the enemy has retreated, and where there has been hesitation or delay, pressures have intensified,” he said.

Highlighting the importance of national unity, Naqdi noted that as long as the people remain united, the enemy will not dare to attack, and the country’s security is guaranteed.

He also underlined the role of politicians, stating that the primary condition for political activity is a firm belief in and practical commitment to the leadership of the Supreme Leader (Velayat-e Faqih).

Naqdi added that the key to the immortality of martyrs lies in sincerity of action and complete obedience to the Supreme Leader, principles that have made the legacy of Martyr Soleimani a lasting model. He stressed the significance of martyrs’ wills, describing them as the final dialogue between the martyr and the people, where life lessons, experiences, and core values are shared with society.

“Despite different audiences, all martyrs emphasize one shared message: practical adherence to the leadership of the Supreme Leader,” he said.

Referring to the early deployment of resistance forces in Syria, Naqdi recalled that at a time when both military assessments and the political climate suggested victory was impossible, Martyr Soleimani entered the field with sincerity and obedience to the Supreme Leader.

“There was neither hope for success nor a conducive political environment, but his faith and command-following enabled him to overcome the trial with honor, and God granted victory and dignity,” he said.

Naqdi described Soleimani’s doctrine as one of steadfastness, loyalty to leadership, and resistance. “Experience has shown that God’s promise of victory applies not only to the Iranian nation but also to the Islamic Ummah and all freedom-loving peoples,” he said.

Pointing to the U.S. 2025 National Security Strategy, Naqdi said the document acknowledges Washington’s failures in West Asia over the past decades. “America’s multi-billion-dollar expenditures in Iraq and Afghanistan yielded nothing but retreat, humiliation, and increased resentment toward its policies,” he noted.

Concluding, he reiterated that weakness and compromise do not secure national interests. “Security and honor come through steadfastness and decisive action, not concessions,” he said.
