María Corina Machado, born on October 7, 1967, in Caracas, Venezuela, is a prominent politician in the country.

She holds a degree in industrial engineering from Andrés Bello Catholic University and founded the political party “Vente Venezuela” in 2013, which is recognized as a liberal party advocating for freedom.

Machado was elected to Venezuela’s National Assembly in 2010, receiving the highest number of votes. She represented the Miranda district from 2011 to 2014.

In 2025, a total of 338 candidates were nominated for the Nobel peace prize, which included 244 individuals and 94 organizations. The Nobel peace prize will be awarded on December 11, 2025, during a ceremony in Oslo, Norway.
