Egypt FM hold talks with Araghchi, Grossi, Witkoff
TEHRAN (Iran News) Egyptian Foreign Minister Badr Abdelatty has held separate telephone conversations with his Iranian counterpart, Abbas Araghchi, Secretary General of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), Rafael Grossi, and US special envoy Steve Witkoff, to discuss diplomacy over Iran’s nuclear program.
In a statement on Saturday, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Arab Republic of Egypt announced that Abdelatty held separate phone calls with Araghchi, Grossi, and Witkoff, according to Qatar’s Al Jazeera TV network.
During these conversations, Abdelatty emphasized the importance of creating conditions for the resumption of negotiations between Tehran and Washington aimed at reaching a comprehensive agreement regarding Iran’s nuclear program.
In a previous discussion with Witkoff, the Egyptian foreign minister reiterated Cairo’s stance on the need to reduce tensions in the Middle East and stressed that there is no military solution to Iran’s nuclear program and other regional issues.
