13 Burkinabe students granted scholarships to study in Iran
TEHRAN (Iran News)- Thirteen students from Burkina Faso have arrived in Iran to start their academic programs after receiving Iranian government scholarships.
According to a press release issued by Iran’s Organization for Student Affairs on Wednesday, the scholarships were granted by organization in cooperation with the Iranian Embassy in Burkina Faso.
The statement said a total of 24 scholarships had been offered to Burkinabe applicants for studies at Iranian universities. Of these, 13 students have already begun Persian language courses at Imam Khomeini International University in Qazvin, north-central Iran.
The group includes 12 undergraduate students and one PhD candidate in pharmacy. At the undergraduate level, the students will pursue degrees in mining engineering (six students), agricultural engineering (two students), civil engineering, industrial engineering, physics, and physiotherapy.
After completing their Persian language training, the students will be placed at respective universities across Iran to continue their studies.”study in Iran”
According to Iranian officials, the country aims to attract 320,000 international students over the next five years by strengthening university management, enhancing inter-agency cooperation, and increasing investment in higher education.
