Iran set to submit draft resolution on attacks against peaceful nuclear facilities: Sources
TEHRAN (Iran News) The Islamic Republic of Iran intends to present a draft resolution at the upcoming General Conference of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) regarding the unacceptability of attacks on nuclear facilities.
According to diplomatic sources, the document is currently being drafted and is set to be presented at the forthcoming meeting.
Russia’s Ambassador to international organizations in Vienna, Mikhail Ulyanov, corroborated this on X, clarifying that the resolution will be presented at the General Conference, not the Board of Governors, contrary to a Wall Street Journal report.”peaceful nuclear facilities”
The 69th IAEA General Conference, focusing on nuclear safety, security, and non-proliferation, will take place September 15-19, 2025, in Vienna.
Tehran and Washington were involved in indirect nuclear negotiations mediated by Oman when Israel launched large-scale aggression against Iran on June 13. Washington also joined the Israeli war of aggression and bombed three of Iran’s main nuclear facilities on the pretext of preventing Iran from what it claimed to be developing nuclear weapons.
