TEHRAN (Iran NewsIran has dispatched another batch of humanitarian aid to Afghanistan following a deadly earthquake that struck the eastern parts of the country.

The consignment, including 50 tons of food, hygiene kits, and blankets, was delivered at Kabul Airport in the presence of Alireza Bigdeli, the acting head of the Iranian Embassy, and responsible Afghan officials on Saturday.

While handing over the aid, Bigdeli commended the Red Crescent Society of Iran for the follow-up aid delivery, saying, “The Islamic Republic stands with the people of Afghanistan.”

In two of the three phases of aid to eastern Afghanistan, 80 and 50 tons of essentials, including tents, blankets, hygiene items, and food, have already been delivered to Afghan officials. “Afghanistan’s earthquake”
