Major projects put into operation nationwide at end of Administration Week
TEHRAN (Iran News) The administration of President Masoud Pezeshkian marked the conclusion of Administration Week with the launch of dozens of infrastructure, industrial, educational, and service projects across the country, aiming to boost regional development and improve people’s living standards.
In Lorestan Province, a 73-kilowatt solar power plant and a new electricity substation were put into operation in Borujerd. Officials said the projects are expected to strengthen the region’s power supply while contributing to the expansion of renewable energy sources.
In Khuzestan, Economy Minister Ali Madanizadeh unveiled the Ahvaz Steel Distribution Company, which was launched with financing from the Cooperative Development Bank. The project is intended to promote industrial growth and create jobs in the steel sector.
More than 10 trillion rials worth of projects were also put into operation in Nahavand, Hamedan Province. Local officials said the projects cover multiple sectors, including road construction, education, healthcare, and agriculture, underscoring the government’s commitment to balanced development across regions.
In Sistan and Baluchestan, a three-classroom school was put into operation in Saravan, providing improved educational facilities for local students. The province also witnessed the launch of a weaving line at the Baft Baluch factory in Iranshahr, which Industry Minister Mohammad Atabak described as an important step toward boosting local textile production and employment.
In Bushehr Province, two major petrochemical projects with a total investment of $477 million came into operation. Authorities said the projects would enhance the country’s petrochemical output, generate export revenues, and create thousands of direct and indirect jobs.
East Azerbaijan Province saw the operation of the Ishlaq Chay watershed management project in Mianeh, aimed at preserving water resources, improving soil conservation, and supporting sustainable agriculture in the area.
In Zanjan Province, 48 telecommunications projects were put into operation, expanding coverage and improving communication services for local residents.
The administration also put into operation development projects worth more than 34.9 trillion rials in Qeshm Island. These include civil and service projects designed to strengthen infrastructure, tourism, and public welfare.
Transportation infrastructure received a boost in Fars Province, where 80 kilometers of new roads were opened in Larestan, which officials hailed as a major improvement in regional connectivity. Meanwhile, in Kouhchenar county of the same province, projects worth 5.1 trillion rials were put into operation, covering municipal services, infrastructure, and local development.
