TEHRAN (Iran News) The Public Relations Department of the Persian Gulf Special Economic Zone has announced that the explosion, which took place in the Persian Gulf city of Bandar Abbas on Tuesday morning, was caused by civil and development projects.
The department said that Anzan Pouya, the company in charge of the projects, had carried out the necessary coordination for the controlled explosion required for construction and road development activities.
The explosion, heard around 8 a.m. on Tuesday without prior public notice, caused concern among some residents, particularly those living in western Bandar Abbas and workers in the industrial facilities.
The authorities emphasized that the operation was part of standard construction procedures and posed no danger to the public.
