Iran and Turkey call for urgent action to stop Israeli crimes in Gaza
TEHRAN (Iran News) Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi and his Turkish counterpart, Hakan Fidan, have stressed the need for immediate end to the Israeli genocide of Palestinians in the besieged Gaza Strip.
Araqchi and Fidan discussed and exchanged views on bilateral issues as well as regional and international developments during a telephone call, late on Monday.
The talks specifically focused on the dire humanitarian conditions in Gaza amid intensified Israeli attacks against the defenseless Palestinians, as well as the regime’s military aggression against Syria.
The top Iranian diplomat strongly condemned the ongoing Israeli crimes and genocide in Gaza, especially by depriving them of water and food.
He called for serious mobilization and action by Islamic countries, including by holding a summit of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) and activating a regional consultative mechanism to stop the genocide and confront Israel’s warmongering.”Iran and Turkey”
The Turkish foreign minister, who holds the chairmanship of the OIC, also denounced the crimes and aggressions of the Israeli regime against Gaza and Syria, emphasizing a coordinated action by Islamic countries to stop these criminal actions.
