Iran, Russia Launch Expansion of Air Transport Cooperation
TEHRAN (Iran News) According to a report from Iran’s Civil Aviation Organization, Hossein Pourfarzaneh, Iran’s Deputy Minister of Roads and Urban Development and head of the Civil Aviation Organization, led a delegation to Russia. During the visit, he met with Patshkin, Russia’s Deputy Minister of Transport for Aviation, to discuss matters related to aviation and flight standards.
The two-hour meeting, attended by deputy officials and representatives from the civil aviation authorities of both Iran and Russia, focused on advancing a previously signed memorandum from December of this year. The parties agreed to plan for elevating the memorandum into a formal agreement on flight certification, aiming to expand cooperation to higher levels.
It was also decided that Russia’s Deputy Minister of Transport for Aviation would follow up on flight certification issues to enhance the quality and operational scope of the cooperation memorandum.
Additionally, the meeting addressed coordination on adopting supportive stances at international aviation forums and harmonizing the standards of both countries, which were among the key topics discussed.
