Knowledge and Experience: Key Principles of National Unity

TEHRAN (Iran News) According to the report, in addition to the President and the Strategic Vice President, several intellectuals and experts from the country discussed their solutions in various panels on how to expand and enhance “national unity” across political, social, international, domestic, justice, and development sectors.

Dr. Ahmad Mohammadi Sohrevardi, an economist with a post-doctoral degree and an intellectual expert, remarked on the sidelines of the event: “Unity is a broad and ambiguous concept, similar to ‘rights’ and ‘justice,’ with a history spanning over 5,000 years. Even Habil and Qabil preferred ‘discord’ over ‘unity’ when competing for minimal resources.”

He added, “What can create unity is the utilization of ‘knowledge’ and ‘experience’ of humanity. We must follow the path of development to ensure that people do not face problems in fulfilling their basic needs (social security in its broad sense) and that their dignity is preserved.”

Dr. Sohrevardi emphasized, “In this way, achieving unity, like other higher human needs, will be realized.”

Sohrevardi, born on April 9, 1972, in Sohrevard, Zanjan Province, is a distinguished professor at the University of Tehran, legal scholar, linguist, poet, author, translator, and a senior attorney at the Central Bar Association.
