Iran in Quest of Justice for Victims of German-Supplied Chemical Weapons
The spokesperson for the Foreign Ministry of Iran stressed Tehran’s push to hold accountable the German companies that provided Iraq with chemical weapons that harmed Iranians in the imposed war of the 1980s.

TEHRAN (Iran News) In a post on his X account on Saturday, Esmaeil Baqaei commemorated the Day of Remembrance for all Victims of Chemical Warfare, marked on November 30.

He said that on this day, “we pay tribute to Iranian soldiers and civilians martyred or injured by deposed Saddam regime’s chemical attacks during 1980-88 imposed war.”

“There is no statute of limitations for war crimes, and as such Iran persists in its demand for ‘truth and justice’ regarding those German companies and others that actively and knowingly contributed to Iraq’s Chemical Weapons program,” the spokesman added.
