Hezbollah launched rockets from area presumed under IDF control
TEHRAN (Iran News) The report highlights growing frustration among northern settlers, who are skeptical of official reassurances about restored security and demand tangible proof of safety.
Citing Israeli security officials, media outlets noted that stopping rocket fire from Lebanon could not be achieved solely through ground operations, but rather through a political resolution.
Israeli Channel 12 emphasized a “severe frustration among settlers in northern Israel over statements by Israeli military leaders suggesting it is safe to return to their homes, despite ongoing rocket attacks from Hezbollah.
The channel further noted Hezbollah’s resilience, stating that the group “maintains its rocket capabilities, which will persist beyond the current conflict.”
Channel 12 warned that despite a potential return of settlers to northern areas, Israeli security forces cannot guarantee the cessation of rocket fire from Lebanon, and observed that “the intensity and range of fire from Lebanon only seem to increase.”
While Israeli military and political officials claim that extensive airstrikes since September have significantly reduced Hezbollah’s missile capabilities, especially precision missiles, Hezbollah’s recent attacks contradict these claims.
Fear, confusion prevail
“Israel” experienced a state of staggering fear and confusion as Hezbollah’s rockets rained down on occupied territories on Wednesday after significant barrages of missiles and swarms of drones targeted critical military bases across occupied Palestine.
The rocket attacks prompted the Israeli Channel 12 correspondent to admit that once more, Hezbollah’s rocket power remains unmoved, noting that non-stop operations were carried out with over 150 rockets being launched toward “Israel”, including two launches fired toward the central district, while many of the rest made an impact in al-Jalil and the occupied Golan.
Amir Bar Shalom, the Israeli Army Radio’s military analyst, described the rocket launch toward central “Israel” as “exceptional, in every sense of the word.”
“To my knowledge, Hezbollah has not launched any barrage such as this one since the beginning of the war, and the target was the Tzirifin base and its vicinity.”
This came after Hezbollah introduced its “Fateh 110” missile, distinctively characterized by its size, range, and precision, which was deployed for the first time today to target a military base in Tel Aviv, preceded by the launch of smaller rockets to overwhelm the already strained Iron Dome.
