The Islamic Resistance in Iraq confirmed on Wednesday morning that it had conducted drone strikes on a vital target in the occupied Golan Heights.
The resistance group stated that the operations were in response to Israeli crimes against civilians and aimed to support the Palestinian and Lebanese people.
“In continuation of our path to resisting the occupation, and in support of our people in Palestine and Lebanon, and in response to the massacres committed by the usurping entity against civilians, including children, women, and the elderly, the fighters of the Islamic Resistance in Iraq, on Wednesday 9/10/2024, attacked a vital target in the occupied Golan, using drones,” the group said in a statement.
The resistance group also reported a second drone strike on a key target located in the south of the occupied territories.
In a follow-up statement, the group said, “The fighters of the Islamic Resistance in Iraq, on Wednesday 9-10-2024, attacked a vital target in the north of our occupied lands, using drones.”
The group emphasized that these strikes were in retaliation for Israeli aggressions, including massacres of women, children, and the elderly in the occupied territories.
The Iraqi resistance has vowed to continue its operations against Israeli targets with increasing intensity.
In recent months, the resistance group has also carried out multiple attacks on US bases in Iraq and Syria, protesting Washington’s support for Israeli genocidal war in Gaza.
