TEHRAN (Iran News) Speaking at a weekly press conference on Monday, Kanaani offered his condolences on the martyrdom of Secretary General of Hezbollah Seyed Hassan Nasrallah in an Israeli airstrike that targeted Beirut’s southern suburb of Dahiyeh on September 27.
The Iranian spokesman said the school of thought of Nasrallah and his creed are alive although he is gone.
“We have no doubt that the resistance front and the Lebanese nation will celebrate the death of Zionism and liberation of holy al-Quds in the near future,” he said.
Kanaani stated that the Zionist regime cannot reap any benefit from its heinous crimes or make up for its irreparable defeat by resorting to atrocities.
He also noted that the US, the government complicit in the Israeli crimes, will not achieve anything either nor will it be able to compensate for its failures in the region.
In a message after the martyrdom of Nasrallah, Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei said the blows struck by the resistance front on the worn-out and deteriorating body of the Zionist regime will become even more crushing.
“The foul-natured Zionist regime has not become victorious by carrying out this atrocity. The Sayyid of the Resistance was not just one person. He was a path and a school of thought, and his path will continue,” the Leader underlined.
