Italian Embassy to Facilitate Presence of Companies

TEHRAN (Iran News) In the meeting, Mr. Perrone congratulated Mr. Salahvarzi for being elected as the new head of the ICCIMA and then pointed to the colorful trade relation between Tehran and Rome since the past, noting that for long time Italy has been the main European trade partner of Iran and Italian companies are interested in investing in Iran and to this end the embassy will do its best to facilitate and help their presence in Iran.
He added that the trend of trade between the two countries is promising, positive and moving forward although its space is not like the past.
Then Head of Economic and Commercial Section of Italian Embassy David Balloni, for his part, said that both sides should try to implement effective scenarios for broadening trade relation between the two states and he welcomes Iranian companies in Italy and expressed hope that with the channels being opened, the trade exchanges between Iran and Italy would bounce back to the previous volume.
Meanwhile Head of ICCIMA Mr. Salahvarzi, for his part, emphasized using new ways and financial mechanisms and barter in trade between the two countries and termed these ways very effective for broadening bilateral trade relation.
He also pointed to the logical economic and political relation of Italy regarding Iran since the victory of the Islamic Republic and Italy has been the first European trade partner of Iran, adding that strong relation between chambers of commerce of both countries is the strong point and embassies have played great role in this economic cooperation.
Salahvarzi added that the most important plan of the chamber in its new era is to reinforce relations with chambers of commerce of other countries and increase trade exchange of the private sector with other countries, noting that to this end they have new solutions for payment mechanism, financial settlement and barter.
He went on to say that the trade relation with neighboring and European states is on the upward trend, reiterating that Iran’s government has always supported foreign investors in Iran and Iran’s private sector expects a correct and realistic picture of Iran’s truths to be painted for foreign companies.
He then announced full readiness of the ICCIMA for cooperation with Italy’s Chamber of Commerce, stating that embassies of both countries can present a correct and precise picture of Iran’s economy for the Italian companies for broadening their activities in Iran. He announced the readiness of the chamber for holding business forums between Iran and Italy. He also urged embassy of Italy to encourage Italian companies for the presence in Iran.
