TEHRAN (Iran News) –Ambassador of Indonesia to Iran Ronny Prasetyo Yuliantoro in meeting with the Head of Iran Trade Promotion Organization Alireza Peyman-Pak called on Iran to send a trade delegation during the upcoming visit of President Ebrahim Raisi to Jakarta.
In the meeting, Peyman-Pak pointed to the upcoming visit of President Raisi to Indonesia and announced readiness of Iran for dispatching trade and technical and engineering services delegation to Indonesia.
He termed necessary development of bilateral trade relation between Iran and Indonesia as two big Muslim states and said that since Indonesia is to build a new capital city, Iranian technical and engineering services companies are interested in having a share in those projects. He also pointed to the preparation of preferential tariff agreement between Iran and Indonesia and expressed hope the agreement would be signed during the upcoming visit of President Raisi to Jakarta.
Then Indonesian Ambassador Yuliantoro, for his part, pointed to President Raisi’s upcoming visit to Jakarta and called on Iranian trade delegations to accompany the president. He added that broadening trade and economic ties with Iran is important for Jakarta especially if they can use the capacities of Chabahar Port.
Then both sides talked about ways of expanding bilateral cooperation in tourism, signing MoUs in the field of quarantine, halal product trade, barter trade and restoring cooperation between chambers of commerce of both states.
