Iran, Uzbekistan Keen to Expand Agro Cooperation
  Director General of the Office of Europe and America of Iran Trade Promotion Organization Mohammad Reza Karimzadeh in meeting with visiting First Deputy Chief Uzbekistan Plants Quarantine Service Mr. Nadir Kasimov called for broadening economic relations between Iran and Uzbekistan especially in the agriculture.

TEHRAN (Iran News) –  Iran, Uzbekistan Keen to Expand Agro Cooperation. Director General of the Office of Europe and America of Iran Trade Promotion Organization Mohammad Reza Karimzadeh in meeting with visiting First Deputy Chief Uzbekistan Plants Quarantine Service Mr. Nadir Kasimov called for broadening economic relations between Iran and Uzbekistan especially in the agriculture.

In the meeting both sides explored trade capacities of the two countries and emphasized broadening trade ties especially in the field of agriculture.

Karimzadeh said that Iranian companies can cooperate with Uzbekistan in the field of extraterrestrial cultivation and called for taking advantage of preferential trade agreement for expansion of trade exchanges.

Kasimov, for his part, announced readiness of his organization for registering the name of Iranian exporters in the portal of the organization to ease the process of exporting agro products from Iran to Uzbekistan.

Meanwhile in the meeting, Ambassador of Uzbekistan Mr.Bakhodir Abdullaev, for his part, said that Uzbekistan welcomes the presence of Iranian companies in the field of cultivating cotton, extraterrestrial cultivation and processing industries and urged Uzbek companies to plan for the presence of Iranian companies and taking advantage of their capacities.

Iran’s exports to Uzbekistan have been around $244m in seven months of this year which shows the growth over 250 percent comparing to the same period last year.

Uzbekistan is the second major exporting destination of Iran in the CIS states.
