TEHRAN (Iran News) – Iranian short film ‘The Souvenir’ received an honorary diploma at the 12th International Disability Film Festival in Russia.
Directed by Bakhtiar Khalili, the film opens a window into rural life in the Iranian province of Kurdestan, ifilmtv.com reported.
It narrates the story of a little boy in a remote village in Kurdestan who is trying to find a way to cure his mother’s headache.
While searching for a solution, he is surprised by some unexpected events.
Khalili’s short film has participated in a number of international festivals, including the 10th Walthamstow International Film Festival in the UK, as well as the 6th Kolibri festival (International Festival of Audiovisual Production for Children and Adolescence) in Russia.
The festival aims to provide a platform to enhance the adaptation of children with disabilities into the public.
