TEHRAN (Iran News) – Flights from Tehran to Istanbul, Turkey, will restart as of October 4 after a six-month hiatus caused by the coronavirus outbreak, said a statement by the Public Relations Office of the Islamic Republic of Iran Airlines.
The resumption of Tehran-Istanbul flights will take place based on an agreement made between Iranian and Turkish officials, iranpress.com reported on Sunday.
Passengers on incoming flights to Istanbul undergo a PCR test 72 hours before the flight and present the results to Turkish health officials upon arrival at Istanbul Airport.
Iran’s flights to Istanbul have been suspended since March last year following the outbreak of the Coronavirus.
