TEHRAN (Iran News) – Iran’s Air Force on Monday brought into service a domestically-built simulator system for Russian-made Ilyushin Il-76 strategic airlifted.
The unveiling ceremony was held in the presence of Air Force Commander Brigadier General Aziz Nasirzadeh who hailed efforts made by the experts of the Air Force for making remarkable progress in the field of producing full flight simulators, Tasnim reported.
He said that the Iranian expert is capable of developing simulators for both military and civilian aircraft including planning for producing a homegrown simulator system for P3F planes.
Iranian military technicians have in recent years made great headways in manufacturing a broad range of indigenous equipment, making the armed forces self-sufficient in the arms sphere.
Tehran has repeatedly ensured regional states that its military power poses no threat to them, stressing that the country’s defense doctrine is entirely based on deterrence.
