TEHRAN (Iran News) – China on Wednesday said its stance on the border issues with India is consistent and clear, adding that the situation in the China-India border area is “overall stable and controllable.”
Zhao Lijian, the spokesperson for the Chinese Foreign Ministry, made the remarks when asked whether China has sent an additional 5,000 troops to the Line of Actual Control (LAC) with India.
Zhao said the situation at the border with India is “overall stable and controllable,” underscoring that the two countries have proper mechanisms and communication channels to resolve the issues through dialogue and consultation, CGTN reported.
“We are capable of resolving the issues properly through dialogue and consultation,” Zhao stated.
China remains committed to safeguarding its territorial sovereignty and security, and safeguarding peace and stability in the border areas, he added.
