TEHRAN – Iran’s Central Bank under pressure from the critics finally released the report on inflation rate for last Iranian calendar year as according to the report the country posted the highest inflation rate in the past four decades with 41.2 percent.

The Central Bank under pressures from the critics and economists finally released report on the inflation rate in the country.

According to the report, Iran’s inflation rate stood at 41.2 percent last year which is the highest in the past four decades and it is another setback for President Hassan Rouhani’s government.

The central bank has been barred from releasing any data on inflation following the order of President Rouhani.

The government preferred Iran Statistical Center to issue any economic statistics in order to manage the figures according to what it wanted.

According to reports, the Central Bank under pressure from Judiciary was forced to release the report.
