TEHRAN (Iran News) – Turkey President Recep Tayyip Erdogan held phone conversations with his counterparts in Iran and Iraq following the US assassination of Iran’s General Qassem Soleimani in Baghdad on Friday.

In talks with Iran President Hassan Rouhani, Iraq Barham Salih, and turkey President, the leaders discussed the latest developments in the region as well as bilateral relations.

No further details have yet been revealed about the dialogues.

The United States assassinated the head of the Quds Force of the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps along with the deputy head of Iraq’s Popular Mobilization Units (PMU), Abu Mahdi al-Muhandis in an airstrike in Iraq’s capital Baghdad on Friday.
