Iran-Uzbekistan Trade Volume Increased in Past Two Years

TEHRAN – Head of Iran’s Trade Promotion Organization says the trade volume between Iran and Uzbekistan has increased in the past two years, expressing hope that the figure would continue increasing in 2020.
Speaking at the inaugural ceremony of an exclusive exhibition of Iranian products in Uzbekistan capital city Tashkent on Wednesday, Hamid Zadboum said that cooperation between Iranian and Uzbek companies has increasedin the past two years and it has helped the trade volume between both countries to increase, expressing hope the figure would rise due to efforts of private sectors of both states.
He said, “This exhibition is a valuable opportunity for strengthening cooperation between the two countries’ private sectors.”
He also stressed that Iran and Uzbekistan are seriously determined to expand and strengthen their long-term economic and trade cooperation and also their joint investment programs.
He added that the exhibition is good opportunity to display Iran’s capabilities, reiterating that the exhibition is just some part of Iran’s capabilities not all of it.
He reiterated that holding the joint commission and this exhibition is a step for materializing the wishes of presidents of both countries for expanding trade.
The inaugural ceremony of the exhibit was attended by Zadboum, and Bahman Hosseinzadeh, the managing director of Iran International Exhibitions Company, as well as Uzbekistan’s deputy minister of investment and foreign trade.
Zadboum and Hosseinzadeh have travelled to Uzbekistan accompanying an Iranian trade delegation and are also planned to take part in the 13th meeting of Iran-Uzbekistan Joint Economic Committee on Thursday and Friday.
As reported, 37 Iranian renowned companies are participating in the mentioned exclusive exhibition.
The 13 meeting of Iran-Uzbekistan Joint Economic Committee will be attended by Iranian Industry, Mining and Trade Minister Reza Rahmani.
