TEHRAN (Iran News)- Tehran is hosting the third edition of Halal Food Exhibition with over 150 Halal food producers putting on display their products at the exhibition for a period of one week.
The people have welcomed the exhibition and tens of thousands of people have paid a visit to it so far.
Attending the fair provides an ideal opportunity for the producers and suppliers to enter or establish a strong presence in the specified markets.
Figures show that the sale of Halal food is increasing by as much as 30 percent per year, and the Halal food industry is growing at a fast pace across the globe.
Many of the participants emphasize the healthy and wholesome nature of Halal food, which includes both meat-based and non-meat products.
The whole chain of production, packaging, distribution, warehousing, and sale of Halal foods, including red meat, poultry, seafood, and processed meat products is included in this fair.
The industry section includes all kinds of machinery, equipment, technology, and automation, with a focus on supplying the requirements of related industries by Iranian producers.
According to earlier world exhibition, Thompson Reuters report commissioned by the Dubai Government last November announced that the global halal food market has an estimated annual value of US$ 1 trillion – which equates to approximately 20% of a global food market predicted to reach US$ 5.3 trillion by the end of 2014 (Data-monitor).
