Ardabil to Shine as 2023 Tourism Capital of ECO

Director of Cultural Heritage, Handicrafts and Tourism Organization of Ardabil Province (CHHTO) says by accomplishing all executive operation of projects for attracting tourists, Ardabil would shine as the tourism capital of Economic Cooperation Organization (ECO) member states.
Speaking to IRAN NEWS, Mr. Nader Fallahi said by finishing the attractive projects for tourists in Ardabil, the city would shine as the tourism capital of ECO in 2023.
Ardabil province was selected as the tourism capital of ECO in a recent meeting of ECO tourism ministers held in Khujand of Tajikistan.
Fallahi added that since the time the city was selected as the tourism capital of ECO states, the CHHTO has started some projects for introducing Ardabil and attracting tourists.
He noted that in the past two years, the organization in the province took different approaches for introducing tourist attractions of the province, adding that “Wake Winter” is one of them where the winter tourist attractions of the province are presented for boosting tourism in the second half of the year.
Fallahi went on to say that supporting investors and introducing the tourist attractions of the province in international level as well as special support for constructing five-star hotels and ski pistes have been of major measures of the organization.
He reiterated that the province would do its best to improve its tourism services standards by 2023 in an international level and to increase the number of visiting tourists in the second half of the year to level the number of the visiting tourists in the first half of the year.
