U.S. Must Pay $150b to Rejoin to JCPOA

Americans have to pay $150 billion damages if they want to get back to the nuclear deal known as Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA), the Secretary of Iran’s Expediency Council said.

Secretary of Iran’s Expediency Council Mohsen Rezaei noted on Sunday that “If the U.S. is interested to get back it (Rejoin to JCPOA) would face new conditions beyond the JCPOA to compensate for all the damages inflicted on the Islamic Republic by sanctions”.

He added, “We are looking for new conditions beyond the agreement and we want them to make up all the damages that they did to us.”

The official went on to say that “The methods of struggle with the U.S. have entered a new phase. Our foreign policy apparatus must address it in the framework of the ‘Second Phase of the Revolution.”

Speaking in the first meeting of headquarters for planning ceremonies to mark Aban 13 (November 4, the day the U.S. Embassy in Tehran was seized), Rezaei said that on the eve of Aban 13 (November 4) last year, the U.S. President Donald Trump began his maximum sanctions on Iran.

He added that Americans wanted popular unrests in order to pour into streets and stage protests but they failed.

He went on to say many believe that Trump would not be re-elected as the U.S. President but nobody knows what would be the fate of the JCPOA if someone like Trump is elected.

Rezaei reiterated that Iran wants more than what had been determined in the JCPOA and if the U.S. is eager to return to the JCPOA , it should pay at least $50b as damage.

He stipulated that Iran’s foreign policies should be defined in the frame work of the Second Phase of the Revolution which has been set by the Supreme Leader.

Rezaei noted that Iran is ready to cooperate with Persian Gulf states but how it can cooperate with those states while they are dependent on the U.S.

He went on to say that people’s massive turnout in this year’s Aban 13 rallies is very determining and they can disappoint Trump and foil his maximum pressure.
