Speaking at a presser in Tehranyesterday, Mr. Hassan Amiri said that 36 teams from universities have announced their readiness to compete in the third edition of “League of Stock Market Stars”. He went on to say that the first edition of the league competition was held in 2016 with participation of 10 teams and the number of participant teams increased to 34 teams in the second edition last year.

He added that it is expected the number of participant teams for the third edition to reach 50 teams by the deadline which is June 22.

Amiri reiterated that the completion has been warmly welcomed, adding that some teams from foreign countries have registered to compete in this year’s edition. He noted that so far, registration of teams from Iraq, Syria and Oman have been finalized, adding that two more teams are still in talks with the Securities and Exchange Organization of Iran, the organizer of the league.

Amiri went on to say that the event is aimed at focusing on the student issues, expansion of depth of capital market and acquaintance of the future managers with the capital market. He reiterated that current university students are the future-makers and future managers of the country and they can help the development of the capital market regarding the good capacities in the national capital market.

He added that strengthening the culture of investment, boosting financial knowledge and convergence between the academic community and the capital market are of the other objectives of the event.

Amiri went on to say that major participant students in the league are from accounting, management and economy fields, adding that there is no limitation for students from other fields of study familiar with the capital market and principles of business.

He asserted that a week-long course will be held for the foreign students or students from other fields of study participating in the event.

Amiri further added that the Third League of Stock Market Starts will be held at Al-Zahra University on July 6-18 and the winners will be announced by August 25.

Amiri reiterated that the inning team will be awarded cash award worth 28m tomans.
