Iran Eyes Exports to Neighboring States
TEHRAN – Minister of Industry, Mine and Trade believes that the only way for saving the national economy is to expand non-oil exports and for this reason, the ministry has plans to focus on exporting goods to the neighboring states.

During the meeting of the Resistance Economic Headquarters which was focused on boosting non-oil exports, Mr. Reza Rahmani pointed to the significance of developing the exports in the current critical economic condition, adding that to proceed the goals for materializing the plan in line with utilizing all capacities and capabilities of the chamber of commerce, some responsibilities and authorities should be shifted if it is needed.

The minister went on to say that to boost exports to 15 neighboring states, all organs and responsible bodies in exporting goods and services are expected to act unitedly in order to materialize objectives in the national economic level.

He warned that the ministry will confront seriously with anyone or any organ which does not comply with the policy.

Rahmani also urged the Central Bank in its forex policies to consider the issue of boosting non-oil exports and boon in production.

He went on to say that regarding current condition in the country, the ministry will help the exports to 15 neighboring countries to rise by taking proper mechanisms and different tariffs.

He added that the ministry has set certain export goals for each one of those countries, and by monitoring and studying the grounds for exports to those countries, the increase in non-oil exports will be monitored.

The minister urged all border provinces to do their best for materializing the policy of enhancing non-oil exports to the neighboring states, reiterating that the ministry will monitor any development for encouraging boon in production.
