Data released by the Islamic Republic of Iran Customs Administration show that Iran’s five top exporters accounted for over 50% of the goods entered through the country’s customs during the past 10 months of the current Iranian year (to Jan. 20).
China exported goods worth $8.9 billion to Iran during the 10-month period, becoming the top exporter to the Islamic Republic.
Apart from China, Iran mainly imported goods from the UAE ($5.45 billion), Turkey ($2.038 billion), Germany ($2.018 billion) and India ($1.928 billion).
These five countries together accounted for 57% of Iran’s total imports.
