Addressing the 70th meeting of Dialogue Council of Government and private sector of Isfahan Province, Mr. Seyed Abdolwahab Sahlabadi said that production’s right from the revenues resulted from privatizing the energy carriers is legal, adding that 30 percent revenues from this sector should have been allocated to the production but it has not materialized yet. He went on to say that but if a law had assigned the government to get some percentage of revenues from producers, it would definitely have been implemented in less than one day.
Pointing to the current economic condition in the country, he said that in such a climate, the government should ease trade and improve business environment and it should not become an obstacle in way of production by penalizing or cutting the energy.
Sahlabadi also pointed to his remarks on the next year’s budget, adding that the government still continues supporting loss-making companies and eyes increasing the tax. He went on to say that unfortunately this policy will harm the private sector and loss-making companies will be a burden on the shoulders of the people.
He also pointed to the differences between Majlis and the government on the economic issue, reiterating that people and private sector have to pay the price for those differences.
