Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesman Bahram Qassemi announced that Pakistani Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi is slated to pay an official visit to Tehran on Monday.

In remarks on Sunday night, Qassemi said Qureshi would make a trip to Iran to hold talks with his Iranian counterpart, Mohammad Javad Zarif.

The Pakistani foreign minister plans to discuss a range of issues, including ways to boost Tehran-Islamabad relations as well as the latest regional and international developments, according to Qassemi.

A statement issued by Pakistan’s Foreign Office said on Sunday that Qureshi will visit Iran, Afghanistan, China and Russia from December 24 to 26.

He told media that his trip is aimed at strengthening ties with these four countries.
